Same as all others:
1. DIY Hair dryer to heat the glue, Dental floss to cut out the badge, goo gone to clean everything up. Be gentle, don't rub the goo gone too hard on dark paint. 2. Dealer (preferred) I would recommend you go back to the dealer and ask them to take that off (probably should have asked prior to delivery). Twice I asked dealers to remove extra stuff before accepting a car. Once it was a dealer sticker (told them that I was not a billboard for their services. If they wanted me to keep it, they should pay me an advertising fee). Second time was the stupid side bands. Good luck! FM

My dealer delivered my car with their badge on...CROOKED! I promptly took it back the next week (it wasn't imperative to get it fixed right away and hold up delivery), and they removed it without question.

actual exchange with CA when I got my Passat; I walk in the dealership and my car is sitting at the forefront of the showroom; dealer comes up and says
- hi, congratulations here is your car - hmm, no, I don't think this is my car since it has a dealer sticker on it and I told you I didn't want any - oups, we'll have that taken away they sent it back to the service department and took it off also, the radio was dead and the paint had a defective spot (talk about paying for dealer prep and inspection); CA says he'll put me on the appointment list for the following day; guess what, I show up the next day at the service desk and they say I don't have an appointment that CA met my price, but that's the only thing he did for me, very disappointing...

As for the OP, just DIY. Shouldn't be any different than debadging the car....

We never put that on any cars we deliver. We have license plate frames on and thats it. The owner sells about 15 brands and does not put a dealer badge on any of the cars we sell.

Wow, that is a huge and tacky looking badge, too! Everyone already told you how to fix it, just chiming in ... for shame, dealership, for shame!

When I picked up my car, I saw the dealer badge and took it off before I left the lot. Luckily it wasn't on tight. I was able to pull it off with no sticky residue left behnd. My salesperson had a confused look on his face when I did it. I told him, Sorry forgot to mention I didn't want it on my car..

Take it to the dealer???
Its just a sticker. If it takes you more than 60 seconds to remove, you shouldn't be driving a BMW anyway. Those things aren't designed with Crazy Glue as the adhesive. I'd save the trip to a dealer for something more 'urgent'. |

Thanks for the tips. I used some floss and it popped right off. Then I used some car polishing cream and it buffed right off.
Someone asked why I took delivery of it with the badge on. It's a pre owned car and the badge has been on it since it was a new, I suspect. Also, the saleswoman was an idiot and I was tired of correcting her on everything regarding E90s, so I just figured she'd probably screw up the paint trying to remove it and it'd be safer if I did it myself. Here are the pictures with the wart removed. |

so tacky to put on a badge, but most people aren't enthusiasts and will drive with it on for years until it falls off or they trade. Heat it up with a hair dryer and use floss to gently peel in away. I always tell the dealer to not put any badges or plate frames on my car before the fact.

Bought my car from Murray and they did the same thing. I removed mine as soon as I could. What's funny is that you go in the new lot and even the M5's and M6's have the damn badge on it. Seriously, if I am spending $80k on a new car, it better not have the dealer badge on it when I pick it up.
