So if I have a current quote of about $700 under invoice I should push for an extra $500?

Assuming you are buying an automatic why not? The dealer will not make any profit though...and the salesman would be pretty weak if the dealership were to take that deal

I just made my first pament on my 335i. I got the car at 3.9 % and took European Delivery. Ironically, I am still waiting for the car to arrive back from Europe after having dropped the car in Munich. Is there anything I can do to get this better rate or am I stuck into the 3.9% ??? HELP! lol

Got this same email. I've already bought mine (at the 3.9% rate), but it sounds like it is only for for owners currently leasing a 2005-2006 model year BMW.

Yeah..and definately new purchases will get this new APR. It does seem to good to be true....they already have me on the hook for 3.9 %. It sucks that I am just one payment into the loan on top of not even having the car yet!

I'm guessing this relates to the 2009 facelift - since iDrive switches from DVD-based to HDD - any 2006-2008 car with iDrive immediately depreciates depending on how long BMW supports the old iDrive. Also they have too much 2008 inventory sitting around, and they need to get rid of it fast to begin selling the 2009's on the lot in October. The financing rates are like a clearance sale.

My sales guy called too and said they'll switch me from 3.9% buy to 0.9%. To their credit I don't think they have to do that so that's nice (Union Park in Wilmington, DE). But I'm still debating buy vs. lease given the new 2009 and how significant the iDrive is for me.

My first payment isn't until August, hopefully the car will be here next week. I thought about asking for the lower rate but the fine print says what it says and it's only $23/mo less so I'm not sure that I'm missing out enough to kill me.

Had you already signed the paperwork? My rate got lowered during the "ordering process" for ED (from 4.9 % to 3.9 %). I don't think I can get the .9 APR now, having already signed paperwork but it would be a savings of over $1300. That is airfare to Cozumel, Mexico to go diving for the wife and I.

Well so far my best quote is $1000 under invoice and I am ordering the car. From what I have been told, the auto rebate only covers cars already on the lot.

Anyone else seen this? Looks like I may be getting a 335i soon!!

Correction, it's not till the end of July for a car that arrives at the dealership before July 31. My car gets here late august so this deal does not apply to me.

Ahhhh HELL !! Let's all just organize a group buy on the 2009 M3. If we approached a dearler with 10 orders we might be able to get them below MSRP!

I signed a purchase order. The dealer said he would have to resubmit my order to get the new rate but was willing to do that for me. But I am paying roughly $1000 over invoice including MACO, dealers fees, floor mats etc. but not including tax and title. So maybe he is being nice because he's getting a decent profit?

I just resigned this morning at the 0.9% I initially signed on Thursday (2 days ago) @ the 1.9%...but after hearing that BMW just lowered the rate on Friday I immediatly gave a call to the dealer & drove down there in 15 minutes. Could not be any happier Rebate $$ still remains the same on automatic transmissions only (from my understanding).

You can actually get a couple of grand off of MSRP around these parts. But not as much of a discount on 335i's believe it or not.

Wish I would have know that before I bought my 335i oh well...I'll save some on gas anyway. Maybe I will trade in the Nissan 350Z some time.... I was at the local Chevy Stealership and they had a 15k mark-up on the ZO6 still. Talk about idiots or God forbid the person who pays it!

I have a deposit for an E90 M3...I stopped by the stealer to see check-up on the 2 M5's that they have had for many months...I took an M5 for a 60 minute drive (it was a REAL slow day for the stealership)...I am sooo thinking about making the big jump after this drive...THEN he tells me that I can get 0.9% on this car...plus the big discount on the M5 (sticker 93,000...asking 86 K)...

The car gods may be lining up on this one...
