At work I feel like a beta tester with a certain large software company that we pay .5 million per year for a license fee. I'm the one telling them about all the bugs, problems, and feature issues. They don't refund a dime.

I agree that everyone should try the new beta maps out. They are very nice indeed. The only reason I refer to them as "beta" is because we only tested them out in a handful of cars. But in all those cars, the results were very desirable. If we put the maps through the normal testing process (many more cars, different mods, different testing conditions, etc,.), it would take us 6 months to post up something new. And really, who wants to wait that long

Cheers,
Shiv

The results will be more apparent on 6AT cars at partial to full throttle shifting. Although 6MT drivers will also see improvements. But they will be more subtle.

Shiv, will these maps work for the beta guys that upgraded from V2 with the wire pack, but no fuel pressure interception?

afriad not. These, and all current maps, will only work for PnP harness users since it offers fuel pressure control.

I just loaded up these new maps because I wanted to try the doomsday map out. To be completely honest the doomsday map is VERY strong. Even after pressing the button to goto non-doomsday I couldn't tell a HUGE difference. Just thought I would post this up for you doomsday guys who were wondering how close it was in terms of drivablity....

Nice - this sounds really good - and I didn't have any issues with the original V3 stage 1 map!!! I just downloaded them and I'm gonna load them up tonight. If this round of dust/thunderstorms holds off, I'll get to test them tonight and report back.

I was seeing a rock solid 16psi (external gauge) on Map2 before (Stage 1 map, 106 degrees ambient, approx 3500ft DA, 95octane, V3 non-doomsday, UR CAI, ForgeDVs-yellow springs) but I need to confirm with datalogs which I haven't done yet.

Shiv,

Just wanted to confirm that if I don't have the remote switches, is it defaulted to Map 1 (Doomsday Map)?

btw...I got my V3 working...it was a loose relay! Thx for the late night support through the forum on Thursday =)

If you don't have the mapswitch box installed, you should default to MAP2 (nonDoomsday). So, assuming you have 29.2 or MSD81, it's probably best to wait until your mapswitch arrives before testing these new maps.

Glad to hear you are sorted out!

Cheers,
shiv

Yep... the new Doomsday maps are pretty juicy Now we have independent fuel pressure maps for Map1 and Map2 so each map can now run optimal fuel pressure curve. Before they shared the same FP tables.

So if you have the mapswitch box, pressing "on" on the key chain remote goes to non- doomsday map or doomsday map?
