Ordered in Feb (in Belgium), before test driving. Delivery mid May. (UK citizen living in Brussels.)

- Sparkling Graphite. Like black, but not over-impressed with the lack of glint on BMW black and a bit 'boy-racer' for a 40 year old.
- Black leather seats. Have never liked beige (diarhoea colour)
- Aluminimum trim. Never liked 'token' wood trim in modern cars. Only suits super luxurious and older cars (like Rolls Royce). Too middle-aged for a 40-year old.
- Sat navigation. Essential in Belgium where sign-posting is erratic, small and randomly in French or Dutch. Each town has a French and a Dutch name, often completely different (eg. Bergen for Mons; Luik for Liege; Antwerpen for Anvers). Name used depends on whether you are in a French or Dutch area, which can change several times when travelling a distance.
- Engine: 320d. Diesels are popular in Europe, nowadays every bit as good as petrol/gasoline with very good performance and write-ups. 80% of BMW Belgium sales are for diesles. 320d has better performance than 320i. Much cheaper to run (15% cheaper per gallon and use much less fuel); more environmentally friendly.
- No seat heating. Have never sat in a car and thought 'I wish I had a heated seat'
- But have gone for electric-memory seat adjustment - useful when sharing car with another driver.
- Don't forget the package which ensures you have cup-holders in the front and back. Not standard here.

Hoah: why US spec instead of Euro spec? any advantage to US spec?

only advantage is that in 2 years I am moving back to states. Plus same car costs about 38,000+ EUROS, and that is 1EURO=.77 Dollars (about)

Looks like I may be the first on the list to actually take delivery of one of these beauties. I was able to get one of the dealer's intro cars and have it reconfigured before the lock-out date. Anyway she's at the prep center in Spartanburg right now and I should be able to take delivery the last week of April (A week ahead of official release if the dealer can deliver it). I saw one in the flesh at the 3 Across America event in Orlando and trust me, this car is knock out gorgeous!! This has to be the finest new car BMW has rolled out in a long, long time. Anyway my order is for an Aspin White 330i with beige leather:
6 spd manual
Premium Pkg
Sport Pkg
Park Distance sensors
Fold down rear seat
Sirius Sat Radio

Unfortunately, I wasnt able to place an "order"..I currently have a 2004 E46 and as soon as I saw the new shape, I sold it..(last week)..So i immediately went down to the US Spec dealership and they told me that they were getting in 5 "showcars" next week, and if I liked one of the already configured Bimmers, I could take early posession, otherwise, I would have to wait 'til Jun/July..So next week, I will pick up my new 325iA(Automatic), Blk Sapphire, Beige/Burl Walnut Int, power heated seats and HOPEFULLY some type 162 shoes!! (they said it might be too late to change in Munich) but I can change when it gets to me in the UK... Mna, since the Brits got their release in March, the people driving them are LITERALLy being stopped in the streets for all the fans..This car is SO

striking in person..None of the pictures do it justice!!

Im HOPING it will be next week. The Bimmer rep yesterday told me BMWUSA is having a hard time letting overseas customers take posession of E90 before the official stateside launch..So the car will be on the lot next week, but I wont be able to drive it!! ARRGHHH!! :mad:

But this is my first Bimmer without a black interior and Im nervous as hell...I hope I like it...I keep the thread updated!!
