Finally got some pics to post. First.... they are the crappiest iPhone photos. When I get the car cleaned up and have a few details sorted I will have some good better ones taken. Further, please excuse the dirty garage.
The car came to me with 17,500 miles. As I said I plan on driving it and as you can see it has already passed 18,000. The interior is in good shape, and the exterior is very good as well. I ordered new fog lights and headlights as both are a bit cloudy. Having the wheels restored. They are powder coated... should be painted and cleared. Drives as new. Sorry for the delay in getting the pics up. Last edited by NewM3driver; 06-30-2019 at 12:25 AM.. |

she's beautiful. i love the color. i always sort of feel sorry for people who are low mileage stewards of attainable sports cars. these are drivers... and they get limited driving pleasure from them. good for you on getting a fine example that you plan on driving.

Nice '95! Impressive that the basket handle 3rd brake light is still on there. I'd probably still kill it, but nice, clean car. For what it's worth, I prefer powdered coat to paint for wheels though.

I can tell you this. If I had bought the same car new it wouldn't be in this perfect condition and it sure as hell wouldn't have 18,000 miles on it. Probably 250,000 miles lol. So happy he "saved" it for me. |

The wheels in the restoration shop (Automobile associates in Canton, CT) look bright and pristine in the OEM silver and OEM clear coat. I'm going to let those guys have at it and swap the Yokohama tires out for the Michelin Pilot sport II's. The basket handle doesn't bother me and I want to keep it as stock as possible. Low miles and all original protects the value. There are a lot of reasons getting a '95 was an advantage. I could go either way on the basket handle. I prefer the narrow body car to the "S". They say the narrow body cars are lighter and smoother. I can't say thats true, but this particular car is butter smooth driving and steers like nothing else I have ever driven. |

Beautiful car! Congratulations on finding such a low mileage example! Now get out and drive...

Plenty of Fezzas are cheaper than 993's. And Porsche prices are rising. Of course the Italian one requires a lot more expensive maintenance.

Any 308/328/348 is game, Mondials, just about any four seater older than the 612. Some 550/575's, most Testarossas, some 355's and 360's. That's just using the $75k-100k range of 993's.

The key is keeping up with maintenance. If the car is in perfect working order and looks good, it will hold value within reason. I was sure I wanted to keep it stock. Now I want to do some basic 'reversible' mods. I think the key is being careful with how much money is spent. Wheels, tires, a ssk, an exhaust. Some paint touch ups. Some gaskets. It adds up lol. But I really enjoy having my car. In the end, that's what matters. Drive it in good health my friend |
