I did 3 runs. Virtually no time to cool down anything. Hood closed. All have been within a 3 hp and 3 nm range ( crank ) . I posted the highest one. This is a high-tech dyno location - check it out: http://www.sportec.ch/page2490.html - the place to be . |

I think you are seeing the heat soak issues that come with the stock intercooler. On higher rpms, especially on a long 5th gear pull, the heat soak issue would be much more substantial on the top of the gear. |

Am I the only one that wonders why in the world they convert wheel to crank hp? |

From your push to create a better FMIC, to a list of nearly 100 buyers, and now a Dinan product...
congrats

Dinan offers a similar product should we say, but not the original Turbonetics/Spearco one. On top of that, they want an arm and a leg for it! |

Thats why I bought one from you. Plus, it fixes the installation issue on Steptronic cars. Great .

Got the corrected Code3 / Spearco FMIC for auto transmissions today.
The charge pipe is shorter now and a longer, straight hose for the discharge pipe is provided. With the Turbonetics / Spearco I had fitting problems with the discharge pipe and the transmission cooler. I don't understand this solution . I hope HP Autowerks will chime in to clarify ... Eugen |

This picture shows the Code3 / Spearco FMIC and where the problem with the autos and the Turbonetics / Spearco has been. I can see no difference. However, the other pipe is shorter ( which did not cause any installation problems with the Turbonetics / Spearco unit ) ...

The discharge tube off the IC has been re-clocked to a slightly less than 12 o'clock position, before it was slightly to the right. The shorter discharge tubing between the IC and the throttle body allows the tube to sit a bit lower and not interfere with the upper radiator hose. The discharge off of the IC will be very close to the trans cooler, but should not be touching. |
