Fun thread, always nice to see how much money I have spent on something completely useless and unimportant

This will take a while to calculate...

Kindey grilles 60,-
CF roundels 28,-
Black 335i lettering 21,- (not on the car, didn't like them)
Painted reflectors 64,-
Smoked sidemarkers 72,-
CF plate frame 19,-
Breyton Race GTS wheels 1176,-
General Exclaim UHP tires 552,-
Tire pressure sensors 184,-
Conti comfort kit 79,-
H&R Sport springs (not on the car) 229,-
Front lip with CF splitters 450,-
e90post NY/NJ/PA/CT stickers 21,- (have two pairs of them, only one pair on the car...)
8500k GP Thunder angel eyes 15,-
Shipping fees to all of the above roughly 150,-
Paint etc for the front mesh 20,-

So I could say 3100 totally... OMG!

are you proud of that?

i don't understand why people spend that kind of money modifying cars... why not just buy something that does what you want in the first place.

100k total investment is super car territory...

i would be proud as hell to have that car... it was INSANE!!! oh, and he owned an auto sound/video shop at the time and went to hundreds of shows, won plenty of them and was featured in a bunch of magazines and made the covers. I would say for a show car, i would be damn proud of it and now u understand why people do that.

hahaha. um, to each his own & speak for yourself. im pretty sure the interest in "modifying cars" is putting your own creativity and style into what you drive. everyone has their own little hobbies and interests. no need to be negative. if your not into doing, or, YOU dont have the money to spend, keep it to yourself. And shit, if you got the dolo, why not drop it if thats what you want to do. you only live once.

I'm plenty proud of the acknowledgement I recieved from the car at shows, in magazines and just the general respect you garner from fellow modders. As Alex said it was done with a purpose in mind to promote our business and got a little out of control but I had fun with it!! I certainly never saw near a return on that investment but like Josh said you only live once!! As far as buying what you want in the first place there's no fun in cookie cutter cars that you can drive down to the local mall and can park next to 3 like vehicles.... BORING!!!

Talking The Modding never ends !!

Josh,

I love this topic

What we need is a Modding support group to help us with our terrible addiction

Or maybe not

DINAN Mods - $3,200.00 :

Just paid another $1,000 in suspension and maintenance work
Rial wheels and Conti Extreme Contacts - $1,000
New Xenons $1,600.00

* Putting on in the near future :
Slotted & cross drilled rotors with pads $ 500.00
My math is terrible but, I'll be knocking on 8 grand soon
The great thing is, the wife loves the car, so no grief
Thank god !!

Next car : M5

Let the Modding begin

i mean - i enjoy modifying my car but would never spend that kind of money...we are talking double the cost of the car in mod money, that is what i don't get....

this is a cookie cutter that you are going to see 3 of at the mall? maybe at your mall lol its just what i would spend 100k on if i had it - or something like it

would it get me face in a magazine? no would it give me a hardon? yes and it would have a warranty haha

to each their own

Hahah, forgot the tint... So it would be approximately 3300 totally. And then 20 for the license plate but I don't think it counts as a mod...
