Guys,

I took delivery of my 08' e92 (Color - SG) last saturday and I have started noticing that it is already getting dirty (I just couldn't resist driving it over the weekend) with marks on windows/windshield and some water spots on the hood. I read your DIY procedures above, but, since I live in an apartment complex, I do not have access to a hose or a whole lot of space/water supply for cleaning my car. And I am not sure if it is a good idea to take it to a car wash shop.

I want to ensure that I do the right thing now and make my car look beautifulas long as I own it! Any suggestions please?
yes...absolutely. It's very easy. Get all the things that you would need (see diy sticky) and find one of those self car wash places....the ones where you feed all the coins/tokens. When I say "stuff"...I mean bucket, mits, your soap of preference (I use Poorboys), your MF towels...everything. Use the WATER spray function only. Don't switch it over to the foam, or wax, or any of that other crap which contains all the harsh chemicals. Use the stall for water only, in combination with your own stuff. Dry properly when done....while still parked inside the stall. Don't worry if there's someone waiting...you can stay there until you're done. Be very careful while drying, as the wind can easily blow some contaminents on your car. Also, you're at a slight disadvantage, since you won't be able to "flood" your car with that type of sprayer.

I have done this several times when I'm on the road. I just bring all my stuff in the trunk. You don't need a garage...just store your stuff in your apartment and you're good to go.
