Well, the undefeated dream ended for the Caps last night. :sadddd:

James Neal scores four goals - has 6 through first three games, setting a new Oilers record.

THAT is impressive. The Oilers had all the goals production in the 80s! Breaking a scoring record of theirs is tough. Congrats to the old man.

Sorry to say but we should have unloaded Quick. 7+ GAA so far. Yikes.

I think Quick’s days have long passed. One sub 2.0GAA season and has gotten progressively worse especially last season. Yes I know injuries play a factor.

So far he's looked good. Solid defensively. Same with Braun. Both should help Provy & Sanheim be a little more open offensively with the vets covering their backs.

Hart has looked solid so far. Against the Devils he was lights out. If he can be NHL average or better, they are a playoff team. Just hoping Elliott can stay healthy enough to be a decent backup.

How's Radko been so far? I haven't seen any Caps games yet this year. Are Wilson and Radko the new Bash Brothers?

Come on - you had to know Neal was gonna put up points with McJesus and Draisaitl. That trade is gonna look realllllll bad this year.

I think Quick also aging. I feel like age is a bit tougher on goalies due to the needed reaction time and flexibility to remain elite. I think Holtby is struggling with this in DC as well.

Radko's been totally fine so far. He's not as slow as I thought he would be (definitely faster than Orpik (who he essentially replaced). Caps have a great heavy lineup, but have not been using it much this year yet.

Caps have played 10 games so far - how has this much of the season gone so quickly!!

Carlson with 18 points in his first 10 games - lighting it up!! Only Paul Coffey and Bobby Orr with that many. Granted... I don't think Carlson finishes the year with 100+ points (like they did).

Keumper's stats are great; couldn't believe we traded him as he was already looking better than Quick back then.

In true Flyers fashion, nice things cant happen. AV's system looks good, Kevin Hayes and Sean Couterier are a great 1C-2C combo, PP and PK have improved, BUT to balance things out, Carter Hart apparently forgot how to goalie. Pulled in two of his last three starts, horrible rebound control, just looks out of it.
I know he's a 21 y.o. kid thrown into the fire as an NHL starter but please for the love of God, just be good. Philly can't go through another goalie controversy AGAIN.

Tarasenko to have shoulder surgery. Out at least five months.

Reportedly injured while carrying duffel bags of cash from the bank.

(I crack myself up!)

Last night's phlyer/Pens rival was a little one sided.

Is it safe to say the only good thing about that team is Gritty?

At least we can agree that Gritty is amazing. Best mascot in sports.

I don't know what is wrong with that team. Under multiple coaches, they just go out and shit the bed. Multiple no effort games this season. I really though AV would have them ready to run through a brick wall every game.
Starting to think they need to shake up the core.

I am a Caps fan. (Hope that doesn't have too much of a negative effect.) Happy for Trotz he is doing well on the Island.

As for the Kings, IDK what to say. Aging core? It is a long season and "anything can happen," etc, but the short-term prognosis is not very good.

Oh that's right my bad. The Kings have been kind of entertaining as we've been moving the puck faster, scoring more, but we're letting in a shit ton of goals, partially thanks to senor Quick.

I'm sure we have a goalie to trade … would be nice to make a deal. Holtby shook off his early season malaise and is playing really well now.
