Last winter I just used the all season runflats, winter wasn't harsh enough for me to need winter tires. Common sense, the x-drive system and years of practice makes it tolerable, in the past I have always bought Blizzaks for all my other cars though.

my case is a little different...by the time i get to milwaukee i'll have been driving for about a year with virtually no experience in snow. this is why my dad's been pressuring the family to sell the bmw and get a FWD/AWD car. yesterday he decided to keep the bmw and just get tires.
its definitely nicer than any replacement car he would get for me.
plus, i don't have x drive so only RWD. the dunlop sp 3D tires look good, and cheap at only 100 bucks a tire.

black hubs... hmmmm. I'd PM the tirerack guy on here and ask, they might. but even if not, you could just get some cheap 16's which might be the same price

When it first snowes, head to the biggest open parking lot around (try to find one without curbs and light poles if possible), and head there at like midnight and just drive around. Put like a pair of gloves (or whatever you have floating around in your back seat) about 20 feet apart and try to turn through them... not only is it pretty fun, you will pick up winter driving pretty quickly. This is what we did to waste time on the weekends in highschool, lol.
