Last winter I just used the all season runflats, winter wasn't harsh enough for me to need winter tires. Common sense, the x-drive system and years of practice makes it tolerable, in the past I have always bought Blizzaks for all my other cars though.

one more question - does tirerack sell the black hubcaps for cheap + mount them free on the tires or do i have to get them another way? i'm not looking for custom rims or anything like that

black hubs... hmmmm. I'd PM the tirerack guy on here and ask, they might. but even if not, you could just get some cheap 16's which might be the same price

When it first snowes, head to the biggest open parking lot around (try to find one without curbs and light poles if possible), and head there at like midnight and just drive around. Put like a pair of gloves (or whatever you have floating around in your back seat) about 20 feet apart and try to turn through them... not only is it pretty fun, you will pick up winter driving pretty quickly. This is what we did to waste time on the weekends in highschool, lol.
