I love your car though, I think that red is a lovely colour, I saw one in the dealer showroom looked fantastic!

What next on the mods?
next mods ex carbon fibre rear roof spoiler and insert for m-sport rear bumper

I will never own a black car for that reason, have owned a very dark blue car and it was terrible!

Agreed the red is lovely, there is one not far from me in red, looks great but has got really tiny wheels and they ruin the look! I think the wheels can make or break the car, they make yours Well done!

Only thing Im not so sure of is the small plate, as there seems to me a too big plaque to put our plate on, personal preference of course though!

Lovely wheels PM, and a lovely colour car too.

How's the ride?

You mentioned that it's better than running on runflats, but a Chieftain tank has a better ride than a Beemer on runflats, so it's not much of a comparison.
Do you find the rear end a tad skittish!

You think so I've had three Guards Red Porsche and never had any bother keeping them clean, same with White I don't have any problem with but dark metallics and Black are a different matter for me!

Nice wheels and nice looking car. But isn't that what old toothbrushes are for - cleaning car alloys. Any engine mods to come then.

Know what you mean about swirl marks on red cars - been there (Fords) and c'mon, in reality how easy is it to keep a car clean in this country! Dark colours are a bugger though.

you cant really compare washing normal car exteriors to wheels mate, but i take your point ... some wheels designs just make life easier though you must agree, take the BMW OEM 230's , they look awesome and are a doddle to clean !

i thought mine would be a knightmare, being polished rims and black spokes. But they stay looking good longer than anyother type, the brakedust just doesnt show

But at the end of the day if you have extra time to devote to cleaning them then thats ok .... becasue they will look excellent

I know what you mean bout swirls with the red paint - car is just over 12 months old now and covered in swirls yet I am very careful when washing, snow foam wherever poss before washing, dry with micro fibres, etc..

Oh well, still looks ace from a distance and your 20's look absolutely ACE!

Cool ride matey

I always enjoy the anticipation when opening these threads entitled " new rims/wheels " etc.......and as the pic loads, you wonder what they`re going to look like, as for me ( and previously pointed out by Porscha ), the wheels on a car really do make or break it for looks.

Anyway, 10/10 for yours mate; they look absolutely excellent in my opinion, as they fill the arches really well without the usual lowering needed, without looking too "bling", and they still look "BMW", if you know what I mean.......

Really nice choice mate; well done !

Edit: I also think the E90 looks fantastic in red, so you have complemented nicely what was already a great-looking car.

then whats the point in doing it

nah, mods want to make the car stand out from the crowd, they want to say 'this is my car, not my company bus that i was given and i couldnt be bothered if it was a mondeo or not'. Yes mods on high end cars such as ours should be tasteful, it goes without saying halfords bolt on stye mods etc of course are a no no. They should make the car stand out in a classy way, that would turn heads and give a wow factor. .. BUT if you want a car that looks like its come straight from the factory, and just blends into the rest of the thousands of E9#s then im affraid i would have chosen different less boring mods. Otherwise whats the point on spending time and money on mods to keep it looking standard

disclaimer: again just my opinion
