Carl's running around 340/5 ish, but of course what the 'D' lacks in one department, it more than makes up for it in another. Academic really, as long as your happy with the extra ooomph, that's the most important thing. You'll still stuff the DXB though, but don't for *uck's sake say I said so. Start a thread on PH though, dare you |

Steve, surely a gain of approx. 16% will be noticeable in increased performance. Think you're right, it isn't going to be night and day but it's those overtaking manoeveres, hill climbs and reaching illegal speeds noticeable difference.
I definately noticed the extra 60 bhp available on tap in the Carrera 4S as against mine. Not sure where your power is actually going to be 'injected' into the engine (mid range/top end) but I bet you notice all the same. I'd love another 16% tbh. |

The problem is that the 335 is already a fast car, for the difference to be "fcuk me, thats quick" you need to add a huge amount of power, the throttle response will be much sharper and this is what usually gives the impression of it being much faster.

Very interested to hear about the re-map tomorrow, an extra 50bhp will be very noticable especially as it comes backed up with a wallop more torque. Regards Yves |

Yves - i highly recommend the Miltek system - build quality is superb and there is almost zero drone at any revs from within the car - it sounds quite a bit deeper on tickover than stock but once warmed up there is little difference from the stock system - on full chat you can hear the difference over stock but its a deeper, richer tone - best bit is the way the 100mm tips properly fill the rear msport diffuser - makes the back end look mean and fat!! If i am really honest i am considering selling my Miltek system for an Eisennman race system, massively expensive and ridiculously loud, but thats the direction im thinking of going in now!!

ROFL it's cool to be last though, just like it's cool to sit at the back of the class at school I predict (this is in Porscha! world of course - those who haven't met me.....) 1. Some says it runs on jet fuel, some say all he cares about is straightline speed - all we know is they are called Carlos Fandango and his faithful little dxb. 2. The red E46 M3 with loads of mods and mega brakes - because that car deserves it 3. Paul the Pig Farmers' E92 M3, I told him white ones go faster and he didn't believe me! 4. Baileys' E92 335i with lots of mods, looks a very pretty car but has the owner too much of a fan of an Irish Liquor to be competing with the mighty dxb and two M3s? NFS and finally ME! Roof down, actually driving hard but that doesn't have to mean fast, though proving my Midgie worthy by the retro chic looks and the pure driving experience along with the bestest sound in the 3000-6000 rev range

Bailey, outright acceleration you have me licked. EASY. with your new re-map no bones about it.
Also round track petrols are more advantaged. Just hope my Tractor can keep up with some petrols. I expect Baris tricked out M3 to be quick for sure. Should be good fun.

If you have a gain of 50 hp your approaching Alpina’s figures (360 bhp) although the B3 is slightly lighter (55kgs) The B3 achieves 0-62mph in 4.8 secs a gain of 0.9 sec so I wouldn’t think you would be far behind that sort of performance

Oh yes it will! I do hope a few more Classic Cars turn up (other people attending not our lot)!
Doubt I'll actually get put in the same session group as all of you, well depending on what other cars turn up!! I might have some little flags made up, Go dxb, Go Boo, Go Bailey, Go Baris
