I've been using it, and I miss my Firefox plug-ins. Especially Adblock.

After 20-30 minutes with Chrome, my ratings are:

Explorer 5 of 10
Chrome 7 of 10
Firefox 10 of 10

But I guess it's supposed to be more stable. Time will tell. FF is still my pick.

I use the Download Statusbar plug-in, it's great.

BTW, just found something cool on Chrome -- you can resize text input boxes (look at the little pull tab in the bottom right corner). For example, on this text I'm typing right now. Nice! But I miss my plug-ins for FF: Adblock, Flashblock, Download Statusbar, Forecastfox, IE Tab, Linkification, NoScript, PDF Download, and StumbleUpon. I love FF and don't see Chrome taking its place just yet (unless they purchase Mozilla and take over FF).

been using it for 10 min and I dont really like it. It takes a while to download a page for the first time and then it's "instant". However, when you try to clean the history, the windows still remain so if you were to look at things you were not supposed to...boom, you're busted

That's called caching. The same thing web browsers have done forever. They all do it.

Chrome is better under the hood because it's using separate processes for each tab. I think extensions will come in time. For now I prefer FF because I am so used to it. It did take me a few weeks to switch from IE to FF.

It's not a bad Beta from Google, I think it will be very successful in the near future.

I just benchmarked Chrome against 3 other browsers, using Sun Spider. Here are my informal results.

Chrome vs FF3: Chrome ~2x faster
Chrome vs Safari: Chrome ~2x faster
Chrome vs IE8 beta: Chrome ~4x faster

I'd say V8 is working

How do you benchmark the performance? I'd like to try that, too. I can't notice any speed difference as compared to FF -- not that I'm complaining, because both are fast, it's just that Chrome doesn't seem any faster. What am I missing?

I'm using chrome and it does seem much quicker than Firefox. The tab freedom is AWESOME. Good bye Mozilla?

I don't like Chrome for now, I need a damn home button to go to google so I can search stuff. Also, accessing the bookmarks is cumbersome, unless they are on the toolbar.

From Anandtech's tests Chrome is the slowest and IE7 is the fastest of all.

In the options, there's a checkbox to add the home button.
