I know the OP got this resolved....

But as I read the original request he was looking for a recommendation for an affordable receiver replacement. He got mostly suggestions for soundbars and expensive receivers/controllers.

He said he was looking for a surround sound system. That could be a replacement receiver or a new system altogether. He also said he wasn't looking to spend gobs of $$$, and responded to say the $250 receivers suggested won't work for him. Affordable is a relative term, not an absolute term. His problem is solved. What's the point of complaining sarcastically about suggestions people made?
