I just like to see the gains plotted on a dynojet. I find it a better visualization of the performance gains of the change in tune or hardware or both.
I'm not bringing my SUV to the strip, so MPH gains means less for me. Draggy also does not factor in altitude iirc. Don't dynojets adjust for altitude? The strip(or your favorite road in mexico) and your MPH cannot account for running at sea level vs say in Colorado. Quote:
Don't they need the torque measured to accurately predict HP? Horsepower equals torque multiplied by rpm. If your torque reading was off than your HP is off right? The guy with stock turbos put down significantly more TQ than people with upgraded turbos and R90 pumps etc. We all know that is not possible assuming no mechanical or tune issues. Unfortunate it seems because of the bad tq reading on the dyno the data is junk in junk out. Which is a shame as there were so many M57s on the same day etc. with different tunes and mods.

At the top of the draggy posts DA is there, as well as slope. Sadly dynos can be manipulated. But like all data, ALL things need to be reported for transparency. ( weight, DA, slope, MODS). I'm trying to give details for each post.

My understanding is it is a LOT harder to manipulate a dynojet(with its fixed weight roller & non-adjustable load) and the results are much more comparable across the country/globe than other types of dynos. I also find it hard to believe an enthusiast would manipulate a dyno, but I can see a vendor doing it for sales. I agree the more information provided the better to compare results with someone else.

Yeah, I just wish they would have done some racing since everyone was there! Some dig and from a roll. Would have helped paint a better picture of the different vehicles performance
