Nope ....I have no odd sounds. The rpms start to rise without the car accelerating to match the rpm increase. Feels like like a clutch slipping in a manual car.

Erikson Transmission said to NOT reset the adaptations......and to just take it easy for 100 miles or so and let it relearn on its own. They said that sometimes when you reset the adaptations, it can really screw things up.....and you are better off to just let the transmission relearn and make adjustments to the current settings vs. resetting everything and letting it start from the default settings. |

Well...I put the car up on the lift last night and drained the fluid. Tonight I'm going to drop the pan, and pull the valve body off to get to all of the shift solenoids. Keeping my fingers crossed that it fixes the slipping issues.....at this point, I think it's just wishful thinking.

Take the fan off and you will see the trans cooler at the bottom. I did a custom cooler that sits behind my grille

Well.....I got the new solenoids in, and got everything all put back together and filled up with fresh fluid. The transmission seems to shift good.....but I'm probably going to put a couple hundred easy miles on it to let it adjust the adaptations before I put the power to it.
One weird thing though.....I scanned the adaptations with xHP like I've done in the past, and for some reason...all the pressures and times say "O". Not sure what's up with that.....I didn't reset them. Maybe it's a bug in the new version of xHP? Even after putting a few miles on the car and then scanning it again....xHP displays all adaptations as 0. Odd.... |

After driving around for a while, my transmission temps weren't even above 60c.....so I think at this point, heat isn't a problem. I will have to see what kind of temps I'm seeing once I really start driving the car hard.
