Is there a distinction between V3.1 maps designed for V81 or 29.2 folks and those that are pre 29.2? Or is V3.1 a "one size fits all" progman solution?

For now, yes. Just like we have now with v3.0, we'll have two sets of maps. One for v81/29.2+ (doomsday) and one for earlier ECUs (nondoomsday). Eventually, we'll have the Doomsday/nonDoomsday selection as one of the user adjusable parameters.

v3.1 works will all the current maps. If you load up a traction nanny map, boost will be limited in 1st and 2nd. A nonTN map will have no 1st and 2nd gear reduction (be set to 100%)

There will still me different maps for stg 0, 1 and 2. The tuning differences between the stage maps cannot be replicated by the user adjustable parameters. The mapping changes are rpm/load specific whereas the user adjustables are more global.

How easy is it to implement a high fuel efficiency map so we can get high mpg?!
Can this be done with adj user configurable params? it'll be nice to have a high boost map and a high mpg map .

I've tweaked the valet map to provide highest possible fuel economy. The AFR targets during cruise have been adjusted to be slightly leaner than stock. Can't go too lean or else misfire codes can get induced. The factory ECU is mapped for close to maximum fuel economy. Hard to beat it.

None whatsoever. Even on my car, I have it start up in valet mode and only switch over to the performance maps when I need to.

Yep. The idea behind that was to customers could have two full boost maps. One for the street where smoothness and drivability is key. And one for the strip/track where you want maximum boost response and most immediate shifts. Basically a Msport mode and a nonMsport mode of sorts.

Great Work Shiv!

A couple of Doomsday Questions...

1.) A few weeks ago you commented on some new potential issue with invisibility and 29.2, any other info available?
Quote:
We are a bit more cautious than others when it comes to 29.2 and up diagnostics. For reasons that will be revealed soon. Currently working on some firmware updates that will address this and allow more low-midrange boost to be supported safely.
2.) I am "pretty sure" I have a laggy 29.2 car since my fuel pump repalcement. How can I find out for sure? I do not want the potential damage of the lag fix if I do not really have it.

Do I need the log/debug procedure outlined a few weeks ago?

Quote:
ook at 'debug 3' while idling (with the car FULLY warm). In case you haven't already, you will have to set-up the datalogging parameters as such:

Debug Word 3
Units: %
No of DPS: 0
Raw Min/Max: 0, 65535
Conv Min/Max: 0, 100

If you see debug 3 in the 10-20% range, this map is for you.
Thanks for the hard work.

Shiv,

So someone like me where I drive normally between 6000'+ should set WG DC to what? I believe in another post you said for us high altitude guys we shouldn't exceed 14.5psi?

I like the valet option, very slick.

No number associated with the map. There is another debug parameter that displays the status of the Procede---- If it is in valet or on one of its performance maps. I suppose we can make it read 0 in the 'current map selection' display. Good idea!

Shiv, this seems to be posted twice above in the documentation
"1st Gear Torque Map1
This parameter defines the how much power reduction is induced in 1st gear when running Map1. At 100%, there is no power reduction and full power will be achieved. At 0%, power output will be stock-like. The purpose of this feature is to enhance traction in 1st gear during launch conditions. 0-100%

2st Gear Torque Map1
As above, but with 2nd gear.

1st Gear Torque Map2
This parameter defines the how much power reduction is induced in 2st gear when running Map1. At 100%, there is no power reduction and full power will be achieved. At 0%, power output will be stock-like. The purpose of this feature is to enhance traction in 1st gear during launch conditions. 0-100%

2st Gear Torque Map2
