From my experience it was so much easier with the wheel off the car and i'm a pretty skinny guy. lol Takes me less than 5mins to jack the car up and take off the wheel so its a no brainer really.

Nice Post
I took my baby in for an oil change and the shop wanted to charge me $200.00 for this procedure. I did myself in about 25 minutes. My local BMW dealership discounted the part and gave me a pair of mat hold-downs that were never in my car. Cool!

2011 LCI?
Anyone done this personally on a 2011 e90 w/ xenon bulbs?
I'm just trying to figure out the access point. |

This guy did a write up on a bulb that he used... enough pictures & info to make it DIY: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=415710. The access point is a small, finned, circular knob. |

Quick question is the plastic cover held in by screws or just snapped on there?(cause im trying to do this without jacking up the car and threw a narrow f..kn fender wall with a flashlight in one hand!)

Very very hard that way. It's much better if you jack car and remove wheel. You will have so much space after that.

+1, take the dam wheel off, much easier to get at everything.

There is a metal clip at the top of each cover, push it up to release each cover.
