I did not see any scoring or anything on my original 84k mile turbos that made the exact same noise, I tore one down and only saw a very small (thousandths of an inch) loss of material on the thrust bearing. But then you have to think, there must be a lot of energy going somewhere for the siren to be that loud. Something's not happy.
monstrous 6-8 psi yeah I had a look at my bone stock log and WGDC doesnt even reach 70% when spooling up on WOT, and stays under 28% throughout the rpm, because the boost so low and easy to reach.

I'm thinking about getting the Billet upgraded OEM TDO3 or RB ones, once these stock ones snuff it.

Will be getting Inlets done in about 2 weeks hopefully.

I was being facetious I'm running 18psi myself. I'm sure my WGDC would be similar to yours on stock tune. A buddy of mine who did his turbos the same week I did on his 335is is running e50 stage 2+ and his WGDC is identical to mine, he just doesn't have the siren, so I think it's normal. No smoke or anything

Bringing this thread back. Is this "better-do-this-while-you're-down-there" maintenance list complete?

Oil pan gasket
Motor mounts
Trans mounts
Coolant line o rings
Power steering pump bolts
Clutch &Flywhel
Vaccum lines
Water pump & Thermostat

What about upgrades that are easier to do while down there (e.g. suspension)?

You only need to clean them out with Brake Cleaner & compressed air. 98% of the OEM lines can go well over 250,000 miles

Yep...that's what I did. And, they already have the twists and bends set into them from being installed for many years....so you don't have to worry about and kinks or alignment issues like you might on a set of brand new lines.

Clean them out, blow them out with compressed air....and you are good to go!
