Are you getting dedicated wheels or just switching tires. I'm in the same boat but definitely getting a set of second wheels. Trying to decide on 225's square or 225/255 for the snows. Trying also to figure out whether to just buy them from the dealership and potentially pay more but have less hassle, or try and figure out all the details and go through Tire Rack and possibly save some dough.

Just swapping tires. I swapped exact sizes for the winter tires. I figured this was the easiest, least complicated, and cheapest option.

This is was the only option on tire rack in these sizes, but I just bought them from a local tire shop. They do good work and I try to support them buying the tires from them.

Just to play devil's advocate I had him check all season options, and he said the rear tire sizes in performance all seasons from Conti and Michelin were backordered until January.

225/40/19 on the front

255/35/19 on the rears

I checked the various options as well and will likely go with a 235/35/19 square setup…awaiting some quotes from my local tire shop. This size was the recommended tire size for M2C if I am not mistaken.

Alpine White and black wheels with red calipers. It's my personal optimum spec. It always looks amazing to me in person.

Interesting. I would definitely consider a square set up with 235's. I like wider tires, but I know with winter tires narrower is recommended to cut through the crud. This might be a good compromise. I'm a little cautious about translating wheel sizes from the previous generation 2 series, as the bolt size/pattern has changed on the G platform. Figuring wheel offset and aftermarket mods in general, is always a pleasure on new models.

I was hoping my performance non rft's would be Michelins, but I got pirellis.
Same here, I was hoping for the Michelin tires.

We should probably start a new thread for this 😉. My take is it depends on your typical road conditions. 225 would be better in snow or slushy conditions but most of the time I am on cold asphalt where bigger contact patch would definitely help.

The bolt pattern or offset only matter for the wheels you will pick not for the tire. Since summer tire size for the M2C is similar to the ones of the new M240 with M Pro package I assume a similar winter setup will be working well. I am planning to put 19x8.5 wheels for the winter tires. I am also considering an 18x8.5 with 235/40/18 but would prefer the 19's

This. I live within the city limits of Asheville and at best get a minimal amount of snow. The cold temps definitely call for more appropriate tires and swapping my summer tires for identical sizes in a winter setup seems easier for me.

Great choice. I think the black wheels work well on lighter colors as a complement to the contrasting gloss black lower trim. Red calipers make the whole package look that much more special.

After a test drive yesterday, I ordered one on the spot.

I ordered a Black Sapphire exterior and Cognac interior. I ordered the aluminum mesh trim and also ordered the bi-color wheels and selected red calipers.

Going to be a long 10-weeks.

I didn't get to spec my own car but I put the deposit down on an already incoming one:

Mineral white metallic, Beige Perforated Sensatec and blue calipers with the standard bi-color wheels. Extended shadowline trim as well.

Black on black. Only color is in the optional contrast stitching. No regrets at all because I think with the sharp edges of this new model black has just enough highlight and shadows to show off the overall shape without all the details being overwhelming

In your pic, at least on my screen, your car almost looks like a dark blue. And seeing that I now really wish BMW would've offered a dark metallic blue because I think it'd be stunning, especially with Cognac interior.

Absolutely agree. A navy blue metallic would be a great color, especially with the cognac. That is the combination I would have ordered. The black/cognac is as close as I could get.

BMW should also offer something like that in the 3 series and maybe some other lines that don't have it as well.

Totally agree. I feel BMW has been very (extremely) conservative with paint options and color offerings. I'm sure it simplifies things on the assembly end and saves them money, but it would be nice to have some new and exciting color choices.
