34, not married, don't plan on ever having kids at this point. Own a 1BR in an amenity-packed highrise in the heart of downtown Chicago.

Going to sell my very well kept (<50K miles), tastefully modified RSX-S next Spring (as I use my carbon road bike for transit and hate paying $200/mo for parking next door). I plan to buy the M240i in a few years either used or new if I like the LCI.

For my needs, there's zero competition in the luxury coupe space. Plenty of power (more with a tune), LSD, decent interior, and emergency backseat at a reasonable price.

71 y/o divorced male…this will be my fourth BMW coupe replacing my 2014 435M-Sport. I also have a 2011 Jeep Liberty which I use for supermarket/mall trips and when I need to carry large items. The BMW stays in the garage when any ice or snow appears.

Turning 60, married, no kids.
Replacing my '19 m240xi. This was actually a very practical car. Good trunk space became great with the seats folded down. Stealth Hitch
(Highly recommended) and a 1up USA bike rack Made it an uncatchable bike hauler.
This version promises to be even better(if it ever gets out of "assembly in progress ")😡
08' 335xi before that started the love affair.

DD an E88 135i w/ PPK. Second BMW after E46 325i w/ MT. G42/43 did not compel an upgrade, but the new M240i has me interested. Enjoying the new owner feedback here.

I am 30, not married/single, no kids, live in Eastern Washington State.

This will be my 3rd BMW. The last two have been SAV's. The M240 will be my daily driver as I don't need three vehicles (also have an F350 for pulling my horse trailer and putting on a slide-in truck camper).

I figured right now might be the only time in my life I can have a little 2-door coupe, and later in life ICE won't be a thing so it's a now or never type deal.

Jealous you will have the opportunity to take this car on the Autobahn. I did a European Delivery in 2007 for my E92…was so much fun opening it up to 142 mph on Autobahn 🙂

Thanks for the reply. Sadly you are probably correct, crossovers for everyone.

I don't know if its accurate, but a dealer down in Ohio told me production is filled through early March and any cars ordered now would be at least a March delivery.

Just checked these out, look very high quality & secure. I was going to go the Seasucker suction route (or just toss in the back with the seats down as I would need to take the front wheel off anyways.

Any photos of this setup?

On my previous F22 obviously.
It might be a while before Stealth Hitch has a set up for the G42.
Since the car is based on the same platform as the G series 3's, my hope is that the might be the same fit. I did my installation myself. It involved taking off the rear bumper and removing a frame brace, but absolutely an invisible and bulletproof setup.

If you drove north of Munich, perhaps you passed my town off the A93.

Speaking as an American expat, the highway system and drivers’ discipline here are marvelous. I wish every BMW enthusiast experience it. Glad you did.

I'm 47 with 2 daughters 17 and 14, and a step daughter 17.
Currently drive my first BMW, 2017 stripper M240i purchased in March.
Ventura County, SoCal.
Waiting on an imminent promotion at work, and may put in an order for a new 240i when that happens.

Good luck with your promotion! I'm guessing with 3- teenage daughters your wife drives something larger?

Thank you very much.

My wife drives a small sedan, and both 17 year olds have their own cars. I haven't had the need for a back seat ever since - teenagers with school and work schedules rarely want to travel with their parents.

I bought my '17 M240i in March and no one has ever sat in the back seat.

Can't wait to order early next year (want a spring / early summer delivery), hope the supply chain sh!t doesn't bite me in the ass by waiting a bit. It (fingers crossed) looks like there might be some improvements
