What? Will there be a new process to update firmware and maps then? Interesting...

Shiv, I believe you are organizing a terrific event, but what about those folks from mainland Europe? I mean how can we get the chance to update our maps/firmware to "the new stuff"? Assuming of course the new stuff is something we can't simply download from VPS forums as usual........

Thanks

Darn I wish I could come but that is the same day as the Famosa Drag Strip Event that we have been discussing on here for a while now. I guess there won't be any Procedes out there again???? I really wanted to see how the tunes compared in "real life" conditions.

You can always make a trip to the strip but how often to you get to compare tunes for free?

It would be great to have you come Warren. What if we move the taste test day to Sunday? Could you make it?

Don't worry.. You'll be able to update to the new stuff soon enough. I'll be emailing the firmware/maps instead of posting them. All you will have to do, when the time comes, is email me a request along with the serial number of your Procede and I'll send you the goods. The update i send you will only work on that particular unit. It will permanently disable any other Procede which means that any copy cats (or those who help them) will have to send the unit back to us for unlocking. Tricky eh?

I have to admit, that is a really great way to market the Procede. Being able to try it in your own car without having to deal with any cost or install is very smart. I assume if you like it, it just stays in the car?

Is there any way of getting my serial # without opening the ECU box and looking at the PROcede box? Guess I'd only have to do it once, but still a PITA.

Clever is the word, not tricky. Just like the fact the maps of the V3 can't be just "opened up" like that by any tuner and modified.
As a matter of fact this is a huge part of what I like of the whole Procede thing, a sort of exclusivity which in my opinion is lacking from other tuners.
My only problem is that all the times I try to send you an email to your address it just bounces back with no chance to get my message to you. That's why I write to Dustin so often

very interesting new developement, the board has been full of those recently. This is a good idea Shiv, it will give you guys the ability to keep people from running the wrong maps, and from distributing ones that you "custom" tune or beta test.

hmmmm.
MD Automotive?

That sounds familiar.
I think I've done about 50+ dyno runs there.

This sounds fun!
