You are right. In cool weather, the car feels a little stronger than in hot weather.
I also have an IAT in the log. It does not appear in the pictures.

I have not considered the effect of temperature on MAF values. Because I thought it would have a very small effect.
I did google and for example the 0C temperature and 20C temperature difference between the air mass is over 7%. This was a surprise to me.

I downloaded the Log dyno app.
I will use this later when I swap various intake manifold, etc. changes and I do a comparison. I think this is a more accurate method to make a comparison than maf values. Because the app takes into account weight, air temperature and pressure, etc.

I will first go for N54 intake and dme tune.
I think I can run the N54 dme tune in my custom intake manifold.

Edit.
Remember your DME is reporting MAS values not MAF, so it's already compensated for air density.

Hi,

I did a new wot pull.
The IAT is now 11C degrees higher than last time. MAF readings were even higher than last time.
It’s still pretty cold here because its spring.

Today's wot pull has the same temperature as the first Log that was without headers and milvs. So these could be compared and highest point of the MAF reading is 4% higher.

With the right tools and settings you should be able to achieve a 120ms refresh rate.

Edit.
I went back to the 3IM setup. The car feels stronger below 6000rpm.
I now have the limiter at 7500rpm and the 3IM also works well at high revs. I have a few things I'm still going to try to get it better above 7000rpm.

I went with the N54 setup again. I made a new intake elbow. It is now a bit smoother than the previous one and no steps.

StageFB tune.
4Gear full pull.

I also have a 22RPD tune for the N54 intake. I'll charge it and flash it. I do the comparison on a virtual Dyno.

Air flow seems too high to be real. What does your fuel trims look like

I did a flash earlier today. I think the fuel trims and other adaptations have been reset. But I can check the trims tomorrow anyway.
I'm not sure if it's worth considering only the peak value in the maf curve.
"luftmasse_pro_hub" - values is more useful. If I want to find out the differences in a different setup. Or I remember reading about this somewhere, maybe here.

Maf readings with the 3IM setup are the same as others with all N52 bolt-on mods and MILVs.
So why would the N54 intake make me too high maf values and 3IM maf values is correct?

3IM setup:

------------
Edit.
Long-term fuel trims are slightly positive. About 4% positive.
If I understand correctly, the engine runs a little lean and the trims correct that.
If the maf measures too high readings, the trims would be negative.

Hi guys, recently swapped my b25 to a b30, i will run some number soon, it is just too f*cking hot outside now for roaming around to find a nice spot to push it

Config:

325i swapped to N52B30
stock 325i Exhaust
aftermarket catted exhaust manifolds (my OEM cats collapsed some time ago, these are aftermarket replacemente cats)
MILVS
3SIM
22RPD tune

My older numbers on the 2.5 liters engine were in the 180 to 190 g/s range

done some logs, 210 g/ at 6800 rpm at 30 deg celsius in 3rd gear with:

N52B30
3SIM
cheap oem style catted aftermarket headers
MILVS
22RPD tune

car runs very good now

i say not bad, curious to try N54 intake manifold again now, unfortunately headers are not an option here cause they sniff your exhaust, or i would be curious of those too

shape of the curve, click for larger

What are you using to log? data stream seems horribly slow. Target data stream should be one frame every 0.125 seconds or 8 frames a second. Even that's slow but it's usable.

the problem with low data speeds is some software will get out of sync. So RPMs could be 1.2 seconds and the MAF could be from the next data set 1.3 seconds or worse. I've even seen software fill in the missing data.

I still use a laptop and Testo-0 but I know the BimmerGeeks app had the capabilities to log at the 125 milliseconds frames.

App needs to use the Ediabas libraries.

Edit:

Time fram should be 0.125 seconds or 125 milliseconds.

Thank you, gonna try it soon.

If still slow, i will try a better OBD2 Bluetooth adapter too, may be an hardware problem too

ok found the ProTool app by BimmerGeeks, and it seems to need proprietary hardware.
is this the app suggested?

Yes, you can always ask them about the logging tools and hardware. Dylan used to be a member however he banned, like many others. Probably something related to sponsorship fees.

I used OTG and a K-DCAN cable connected to my phone, graph resulting from a datalog with ProTool below. Peak at 211 g/sec @6600 rpm, 33 deg Celsius outside temp.

Thanks for suggesting this method, much better resolution now
