As far as I can tell, it was just mechanical. Saw them working on it in the garage.

They didn’t make it long with the one. Hope they get it sorted and get competitive this season.

Watched Hour 1 and so incredible to see 61 cars take the checkered to begin "twice around the clock"....the GTP category is incredible; they're very space-age and remind me of the poster from forever ago of the Lambo Countach when that was cutting edge....today's cutting edge machinery is other-worldly.

Oh yea! It was an epic start and it is sure to be a fun year of racing. We need to get that Ferrari over here too.

Wait until we see the huge field at LeMans! Incredible line up headed our way.

Such a finish....

-GTP with Acura 1-2 by 4 sec.
-LMP2 race lead changes about 1/4 mile from the checkered and P2 slipstreams P1 and pulls out of the slipstream at the perfect moment and wins by sixteen-thousandths....

Just finished watching the recording. LMP2 WOW, .01 between first and second after 24 hours of racing.

P2 planned it from the start of the race. He knew he was faster than P1 on the straights the whole race. Sat behind P1 biding his time for 23.59.99 hours.

Smart racer.

Fantastic finish for LMP2! Never ceases to amaze me how close the finishes can be after 24 hours.

Anyone hear what the attendance number was for the race? The announcers kept saying it was a record but never put a number on it.

Personally, I hope they get the first race problems sorted out and get competitive. Both cars look and sound amazing.

I think it’s also amazing that the Acura uses a 2.4l twin turbo V6 and out performs V8 TT cars with almost twice the displacement. I couldn’t find what the difference in weight was though.

Overall an exciting race! By far the most packed I’ve seen it.

Here are few more photos I took.

Looking forward to Sebring - hopefully the BOP does some favorable adjustments to the M Hybrids.

Entertaining race despite the Porsches and BMWs struggling in both classes. BOP should hopefully correct that in future rounds. The photo finish in LMP2 was epic!

Congrats to Tom Blomqvist who won the Daytona race for his Acura MSR team with another Acura in second which was just 4 seconds behind.

Was so upset with Milner and Garcia.

JT put so many laps on GTD Pro after having a tire blow out then a complete brake assembly swap the lap after.

Corvette actually looked like they were going to blow the rest of the field away then Milner botches the restart and Garcia just couldn't do what JT could.
