335is current sold pricing....

Guys like this: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...ckType=listing

are out of their goddamn minds. $26k for a SALVAGE CAR?

There’s more than a few sellers on here right now asking $30k for a modified 335is with china turbos that’s been left out in the sun and probably smells like fucking crayons. Stop the bullshit.

Current market price for a CLEAN 335is is $20k max, stop fooling yourselves into thinking they’re worth anything close to M4 money.

EDIT June 25: in 2019 a clean loaded e92 2011 335is went for $17k at 68k miles. Today, June 25 2023 a clean, every package e92 335is with 51k miles is being purchased by me for $24k. I acknowledge I got a great deal back in 2019. Post covid used car prices across the board are still leveling out but for e92 335is’s a pristine car with no mods or extremely well done mods such as mono piston brake upgrades or top shelf turbos is most definitely worth $20k-$25k if under 100k miles. 100k-150k miles is still $20k because engines and transmissions are cheap. Sun baked interiors are extremely detrimental to perceived value so therefore garaged cars will maintain high value.

The 3 things that matter most: miles, carfax (title, accidents, maintenance), and condition. Have all 3? $25k. Missing 1? $20k. Missing all 3 like that lying asshole with the 115k mile Space Gray car in Myrtle Beach for $15.5k? Scrapyard.

19k mile 2011 335is sold for $34k two months ago:

42k mile 2011 335is sold for $29k eight months ago:

Regarding my initial statement, I was thinking more along the lines of 50k+ miles. The market is pretty understood for those cars and the vast majority of them are over that mileage. The ones you posted are not standard and the market doesn’t really know what price to assign to such low mile cars. Your post does tell us that low mileage cars are sought after. However, only one of those is a post covid sale. The others are unreliable due to prices leveling off this year.

There is a roughly 50% increase in price from e93 to e92 alone, all other factors equal.

thanks,
perhaps editing your initial post and inserting your thoughts on mileage (50k+) and how that affects price would be beneficial.

you have not edited your initial post where you proclaim the market value of the 335is....you stood corrected when i posted multiple 335is sales on bringatrailer that were light years above your self-proclaimed attempt to determine vehicle market values for the masses.

regardless of what anyone on this forum thinks the price should be, the market for the cars are what people are willing to pay, if they are selling higher then we like then it is what it is. While a 335is is not a rare car, they don't make them like that anymore and some people appreciate these cars dynamics. That being said I wouldn't buy one for 25k unless it was immaculate. With BMWs i just don't buy high mileage ones, nothing against them nor the owners who maintain them well just not my cup of tea. So For all the "you could get a f8X for a few grand more, those M's are clapped out with 120k miles lol, and unfortunately most of the 335is now are driven by high school / college kids with the dash lit up like a Christmas tree

Just listed my '08 e92 for sale, though this thread does make me a bit timid to even admit it here. However, it does not yet smell like crayons...

Nice car, good luck! Just being real... I'll be shocked if you get anywhere near $23k for that but if you do it's good for everybody. Mine has 60k more miles than yours but mechanically a lot has been replaced recently. I've come down from $17k to $15,500 and haven't heard a peep. It'll probably go to auction soon and I'll just live with the result.

bringatrailer is an auction based site. You can't compare that to market value, lol. They almost always go for higher.
