Managed to get out of it by givving myself a massive hangover yesterday.

The downside it that I have had to agree to doing it next weekend.

Damn my slightly tired decorative state

But you've got to fit the grills next weekend as well.........I don't know it's all stacking up now. No decorating done and brewers droop.

Personally I'd fit the grills first.

Typical - got on one and the heavans opened.

No droopage I'm afraid. If anything, it has the opposite effect and I can't get rid of the bloody thing!

Gloss Grills fitted

I thought I'd start a new thread, as the last one seemed to be going a bit off topic! The rain has held off long enough to put the grills on. I got them from Derek (cyba), the quality of the product and service was excellent. I specifically wan't gloss to match the shadowline.

It's a very easy job to swap them over - 5 mins each. The only tool needed was a Torx 30 bit to undo the 4 bolts that hold the bumper in place. Once removed, you can prise the bumper forward with a big enough gap to get a hand in to undo the clips.

It seems best to undo the clip closest to the headlamp first, as if you leave it 'till last, the grill hinges forward on this point and it's hard to press the catch in.

The new ones just pop in with ease.

Not great pics, but you get the idea:

Looks good. Any pics where you show more of the car? I want to see how the car looks overall with the black grills.

Once it's not raining, the car's clean and I've got a bit of space (parking's pretty tight down my road) I'll take some pics

Should be matt - I did try SSDD in my hunt for gloss, but they couldn't do them

Come on, mate, rain must have eased off in Surrey by now! Look, it's not even p1ssing down up here in Mancheseter, so no more excuses: get some pics done

Your close-ups were great, but I really want to see full body shots of teh car with the gloss black grills, so I can see how they tone in overall.
