Yeah, they were a bit dramatic there. It's a bit tricky to get in and out, but I'm starting to get the hang of it.

The middle part of the bottom seat doesn't bother me at all so far.

Nice yeah that’s the spoiler I have waiting. Absolutely brutal price on the mirrors 😂 can get them yourself for $1600. I’m leaning towards aftermarket for $500

Buckets are a tricky thing. I don't have problem with them, but my wife (who has a spinal fusion, rods) is weeping from the pain after an hour.

It seems to be all or nothing. There are lots of people who have no problem, but if you DO have a problem, it's probably a big one.

My problem with the anti-submarining bolster is that I bang it when trying to heel-toe.

For all these reasons, I decided to stick with sports seats.

I think you made the right choice. Although I prefer the buckets, I'd take an m2 w/ sport seats B4 I'd take a m4 w/ buckets. The m2 is just a better looking car with a better wheelbase, etc.

I sat in my car for 7 hrs today (3.5 hrs on, 4 hrs off, 3.5 hrs on) and could have done a few more easily. I started to feel the lack of cushion slightly at the end, but the ergonomics are spot on.

I could see if angles are wrong, but one would probably know right away. Sorry about her fusion. Trying to avoid that myself.

I’m hoping someday we figure out how to make that bolster a six point pass through. I need that.

Quick update after a few more drives: these seats are intimidating, but I'm getting used to them. Not having issues and I can actually adjust my posture a bit, that's not as big of a problem as I expected.

Changing my diet along the way and started to shed a few pounds, great for motivation!

The worst thing is the travel of the clutch pedal, as with other "recent" manual BMWs I've had in the past, it's just too much travel for me, so I have to sit too much forward. I have a BMS clutch pedal stops on order which should address that, they worked well for me on the M2C.

I agree! And the various CF bits are a nice complement, I like how the CF rear spoiler finishes the rear end.

It was a gamble, but so far so good! The buckets seemed really tight on the first couple of drives, but I'm getting more used to them every day and they are now feeling like they are allowing me to better "fuse" with the car (hard to explain).

The BMS clutch stop allows to more comfortably adjust the seat, so that helps too.

A remaining real test still pending is a longer drive, I'll report on how that goes when I get the chance.

Went on a few hundred miles road trip last week-end. Some thoughts:

- No problem of fatigue or comfort issues with the carbon seats what-so-ever.

- The middle bottom seat "crotch" piece is no issue, never bothered me at all, or even thought about it once.

- The carbon seats are giving so much support that it gave me confidence to push the car harder on mountain roads.

- The combination of carbon seats and manual transmission is a non-issue. Never bothered me. The manual feels better after a few hundred miles.

- Only drawback is the gymnastics getting in and out of the seat. Not a show stopper and I'm still working on it, but not as easy as a normal seat for sure.

Just a few updates, hope this helps.
