John, what was the provenance of the car? From what I know there were possibly twelve BT16s built. Sir Jack his own self ran one of them (I think). Pretty rare duck all things considered. IIRC, there was an F3 variant, BT16A.
Did you run it in vintage? What sanctioning group? |

As someone interested in such things you owe it to yourself to check out the web site of the place he worked. www.leydonrestorations.com click about, staff, my son is the one crouched down in the front right. he has since moved on to developing wind power farms for a large Spanish company but they still have his picture there. Also check out the words section for Chris' wife's description of a trip to Monaco. This guy is typical of the type of people Chris does work for. Sheesh, how the other half lives. Look at the portfolio section for just some of the cars Chris has restrored. You will need a cigarette when you are done:-)

My current vehicle. 2006 Evo IX GSR 12.2 quarter at 114 before I installed cams and retuned. Tranny being built up now to handle more power with longer 4th gear. Last dyno was 350 AWHP which is I am guessing just over 400 crank? SO much more I could do.. just have to decide how far I want to go.

03 Evo GSR pushing 28 lbs of boost on the stock turbo with all supporting mods. Though it only had about 350awhp, it was beating ws6s and c5 vettes pushing around 400 to the rear wheels. I miss that car, just not the insurance.

Damn LMAO I have the slowest fastest car any of us have owned! My 1990 Lincoln Towncar.....
Though I've driven some moderately fast cars I think the 135i will be one of the fastes cars I've driven. Have a test drive of a 335i this Sunday so it should be fun and fast . |
