I - and surely most here - love the driving experience with a machine that can confidently execute a risk managed move. That's not to say driving with the sole intent to anger other motorists - no, they just happen to be in the vicinity. There was something about the E generation cars that tended to extract this behavior more.

If you are being tailgated or flashed, the likelihood that you are the cause is very high. Then, who really is the bad driver? Most of us pay attention to the road, our line and easily get worked up when others clearly don't.

While it has negative connotations, it should be understood more in the context of confident driving. So, long live the stigma. It's a universal identity - good or bad - something other marques cannot naturally achieve. Maybe Rolls Royce and extreme wealth. - oh right, we own that too...

I use my blinkers 100% of the time and am courteous to courteous drivers. I stay out of the left lane, if I see a faster car approaching I will delay my pass, allow other to merge in, etc.

Now - that being said - if you are a dickhead driver - I will be a dickhead too. You stay in the left lane so you can play on your phone - expect my hood ornament in your colon. You try and merge onto a 70 mph highway going 30 - F you - I'm not stopping for you. You slow way down in the driving lane before moving into the turn lane - expect the horn.

Do unto others and all that............

here people who drive shit boxes are the worst.

And make sense ! You know when you woke up a morning, thinking buying a Hyundai Accent, base model, grey , automatic @ 12% interest and 70% value lost the first 2 years, you don't like cars.

And if you don't like cars, you don't get any interest about driving.

So yes, I'm a typical bmw driver (with turn signals), push & flash ; can't stand poeple who dont respect priorities on a stop sign, or doing 45 in the left lane on the highway, or cut in your face no flasher, or use 3 lines on a turn.

Side note, a driver roll down his windows last year , saying he was impressed about my turn signal usage on my bmw, which is all the time, even when I turn in my driveway. Sometimes, if the curve is too curvy, I have the instinct to put my turn signal.

Speaking of FL, Joralemon st. is correct -- no one signals down here no matter what they're driving.

But I lose all sense of decency when I find someone camped out in the left lane and refusing to move over.
Yup — my wife gets so mad at me. Think I need anger management...

I live in Florida and generally always use my blinkers. The only time I don't use them is when some a$$hat cuts me off and I end up passing them and turning in their lane. Of course if the distance is close between me and that a$$hat I signal otherwise I won't. I suppose this is a bit of my road rage in me. I only use the left lane to pass cars I am coming up on. I drive the flow of traffic ..... generally plus a few more mph. I am a defensive driver and do not tail gate on others. If some "chuck wagon" cuts me off I will back off a bit. Tail gaiting at 80+mph is a recipe for an accident and just plain dumb because people are taking their chances. I have seen too many rear end accidents happen because of tail gaiting. If I need to be somewhere on time I leave early so I can have ample time. I merge on the highways at or above the posted speeds and exit highways at posted speeds before I apply brakes. If a person signals I will let them in. If no signal is used then too bad, I won't let them in. Of course on most roads people think they're entitled to take the lane because it is all about them. I will just back off, saying some choice words, because you never know if the driver or passengers in that car are psychotic and won't shoot. Not worth it.

I imagine a "typical BMW driver" would drive a BMW so no... I'm not a typical BMW driver.

That being said I like to think I drive pretty well. Almost always use my turn signal, stay out of the left lane, don't tend to cut people off etc. (but then I imagine most people would say they drive well... even those that don't)

Everyone else though.... fucking SAVAGES!!! Here in South FL we have the worst of the worst. We have all the old people driving 25mph without a clue as to WTF is going on around them. I swear some of them look like they might have actually died inside the car and that shits just rolling down the street.

Then you have everyone else who are all from NY or NJ and drive like they are still living there. Add to that the huge influx of people here jamming up the streets and it's my own little hell on earth every time I have to leave the house.

Really? Even if there are 2 of them side by side blocking both lanes?

OMG! For years, I used to drive from NY to Florida. The damn campers camping in the left lane neck and neck with a car in the right lane all the way down 95.

While yes that is the worse... it's typically not 2 walking dead. I don't believe they are capable of that level of coordination.

Honestly in NC they do that A LOT! Luckily there is waaay less people there so it doesn't feel nearly as bad, but maaaaaaan they love left lane camping over there and they are ALL slooooow not just the ones who died but literally everyone drives the speed limit or slower.

MN has left lane campers to the point the news had to put a segment about the laws of left lane camping and asked to not do it. It sparked outrage from people stating they pay taxes and can drive where ever they want.

Same with zipper merging, I know folks everywhere get pissy about it, but MN seems to be real bad.

MN Nice is more of a myth than BMW driving habits. MN is full of assholes.
