Only on the BEF tune with the twinies, I was impressed. Understand why people get over bmw problems when you can get those numbers on stock block |

PART 2 - Dismantling the receiver
N54 is in one corner of the garage, E91 go in. Now, would I be able to fit both engine in my 11x20 garage? we'll see. I started with the rear subframe to get rid of it quickly and make room. Findings: -Very little rust on the chassis. - Subframe quite rusty, but usable. I put rust-converter on the chassis, and I'm waiting 24 hours for the oil paint. It's all pretty much unplugged to get the front subframe down. But getting the engine out will be another day |

CLUTCH IN !
After 6 months of wait, this delayed the project. DKM twin disk FINALLY the N54 can go in. Put the transmission in. I was sitting on the transmission and pushing in while controlling the height with the jack Now time to push the engine in. The ONLY time I've asked for help, my bro helped me, mainly to guide the engine, it fits to the 1/2''. |

front starting to look like a car
Removed the lp fuel pump fuse, and start the car to check if turbo got oil. It does, put the oil line back. Crank it few seconds. Then plug the fuel pump back, AND start 1st time !!! what are the odds !? |

on first re-assembly.... argghh
The A/C condenser on the 328 is not the same as the 335. The 328's is bigger, and the intercooler doesn't fit. |

it's starting to look like a car.
- brakes and suspension - intercooler - wiring - mac solenoid. - headlight. I wanted to start it today, but I loose my patience bleeding the brakes. The clutch line was leaking, I removed it to replace the seal with my donnor, and it took me 1 hour to put it back on. I didn't want to remove the drive shaft . I'd just redone it with locktite and torque spec. When I finished fitting the line, I said to myself that's enough for today. |

finally my first test drive. I spent 6-7 h this weekend to reassemble everything that was left.
Including 1 hour just finding the right win7 drivers for the k+dcan cable. - need alignment - there's something loose in the suspension - need exhaust. - some engine check. - meth not working. This week I'm making an appointment for the exhaust. |

Worked on the LP fuel system
Added some small heatsink I use a ATI9600 old graphic card fan. I've use the fuel pump 12v+ , and the frame to 12V- . 3 holes acting as vent at the other end of the casing (not shown) Added thermal past on the EKP back so it can transfer heat to the car frame bracket. Working A1 Now the walbo 450LPH fuel pump few fitting , BMP fiting I keep the bucket ! Last edited by oVeRdOsE.; 08-31-2024 at 07:41 AM.. |

Wow what an impressive build! I'm in the middle of what to me is a major rebuild but gosh it's childs play compared to your project. Who would suspect that big honkin single turbo lurking under the hood of a mild mannered e91, that thing is the ultimate sleeper.
Interested for details about your seat retrofit since I have that on deck after I finish the other stuff. I have a pair of Dakota leather fully powered sport seats to replace the heated & powered bolster but otherwise manual leatherette sport seats my 325i came with. I know I need to add a dcan bus line but unsure what other wiring mods it will need. Any insights appreciated. Again, what an awesome build you have going, hats off to you bro |

thanks ! I was lucky on this built, my E91 is a late 2008 with sport pack, and the E90 is a early 2009 with sport pack too. So the seats were plug n' play, since both got powered seats. E91 has vinyl, while the E90 has leather. The only thing I didn't retrofit is the active headrest, so 1 wire remain unplugged, but no code nor error warning. |

Well that is some luck. I'm finding a lot of info on the seats, too much in fact every post contradicts the one I read before. Guess I gotta start with finding the proper schematics, that's a challenge too lol.
I'd like to be a passenger in your E91 on "Take a hellcat to Gapplebees" day. |
