If I had the means and a place to keep it, my dream car would be an E24 M6. My idea of design perfection.

Separately from the style it offered at the time (and still does), what a revelation that car was when it came out. I took a test drive in a grey market M635CSi in early 1985 and bought it on the spot. The car had it all: power (in spades, for the day), interior (buffalo leather seats!), brakes, handling, tires...really, everything.

That almost made me spit out my coffee. It just goes to show the differences in taste between people, as I'd sell that car before ever having driven it. I consider the Pagani cars to be some of the worst offenders of over-styling in the automotive industry. Even when they quiet the exterior down a bit the interior is an assault on the eyes.
Too bad too, they're made to such a high standard and with such fantastic materials, I just think it's way too much of a good thing. Sort of like one of those huge 80's gold chains, but covered in diamonds and an entire lighting system that wraps around your head to keep it blinging even in the darkest of nights. |

One for the american muscle car era. 1970 Chevelle SS 454 ls6 variant. The best 60/70's muscle car era engine imho.
My X5 bmw has 80'ish more HP, is 2 seconds faster (0-60), and gets maybe twice the mpg of the Chevelle 454, but those were the times back then. And gas was cheap... I had a 70 Chevell, but not an SS, and had the common chevy 350, but still a sweet car.

My old man had a VW Rabbit diesel. It got 55 MPG on the highway, but you had to measure 0-60 times with a calendar.....

'68 VW Bug was my first, with a custom red & black paint job. 53hp and a blast to drive.
Looked a lot like this one. Loved that car. |

We had a Rabbit diesel. Not sure why my parents got rid of it, it was a decent car. In high school I drove an Olds Cutlass Supreme with 231ci V6. Not sure it could make it to 60...

Read the original post, Esteban. You only get one choice. You're up to three so far. (Nice looking Bug, BTW.)

I haven't posted one car yet, although I have a timeless Freeman Thomas masterpiece sitting in the driveway that would certainly qualify.....
