In the first post he mentions that he bought the car 4 months ago and he mentioned that he needed the NA version. I just assumed that he was making his way back to the US. Now if he just got there then I can see why they gave him the Euro version. Seems like they could atleast swap CD's being that he is a serviceman.

Without condemning or making a judgment on which side of the issue to stand on, whenever you call a customer service organization the first tier of service typically simply toes the company line and reads the script they were trained on. They simply don't have the latitude in their jobs or the leash to make a decision to empathize and correct the situation. I'm not familiar enough to know how BMW NA structures the call center support but usually is you want something done that's even remotely outside the bounds of what is considered routine you have to escalate to a supervisor or customer satisfaction tier with the juice to make it right. I would try to call and escalate. At least you know at that point you've exhausted your options before you take the lump and order the NA DVD. Good luck-22

Dude I ordered my car thorugh the military sales and they told me I have to pay for the DVD flat out. Not getting anything for free. I dunno maybe when I pick it up the delivering dealer will hook me up but I doubt it. The Nav is a little cheaper I noticed as compared to buying it from a regular dealer. I think it balances out if you got your Nav cheaper through the military sales program.

I also bought my car though military sales, NAVI is $200 cheaper for the reason you don't get the disk. If you got one with the car consider yourself lucky. If you don't want to pay 200 buck look on ebay or burn a copy from some one else.
If you can afford the 35K car then i'd hate to think you can't afford a NAVI DVD. |
