Just about dropped the 'tractor' off at the bodyshop this morning. Talk about sublime weather, first snowed in for a week and now floods today. Couldn't even get my daughter to nursery as the road was under 2ft of water.

Having driven to the bodyshop on the most waterlogged 14 miles I have ever seen, I now have the luxury of a Toyota Aygo for the forseeable future

At first I thought it would be painful, but I've actually had a great deal of fun running about in it today. It's a good little car, even if it only has 3 cylinders!

I've driven about 80 miles today and the petrol gauge hasn't moved

Quick update, car is nearly ready - got a call from the bodyshop today.

Everything has been agreed by the insurance company and they've replaced near-side wing and front bumper.

Fortunately no other damage

What does it cost to repair that level of damage?

Picked the car up today - overall happy with the repairs and colour match.
Will post pics later.... I think the overall cost was about £3K

My run of bad luck continues. Was driving on the m/way this morning and the Run-flat indicator comes up on the dash about 3/4 into my journey.

I drop into the inside lane and drop down to 50mph for the next 15 miles or so. Pulled into a service station and had a good look around. Couldn't find any deflation or obvious invasion into the tyre.

I checked all pressures and they were reasonably ok around 3-4 psi out. I inflated all four wheels again and reset the indicator. Has been ok, so perhaps it was just a 'glitch' ?

You're fine I'm sure,

I run mine at 32psi, when one drops over time to about 26/7psi it sets off the alarm.

Also, as you rears wear down they speed up, which also makes the car think they're going flat.

Sort the pressures and reset the system like you have done and you'll be fine for a good few months.

If you have TPMS does the car also analyze for a flat tire using the rotation rate?
