I've used Al in the past and cant say I recommend him...
He refinished my 19" iforged wheels for my 330xi and the centers started peeling in my driveway as soon as I put them on...there was also a bend that he couldnt take out although he stated that he would be able to do so... If any1 thinks I'm making this up, u can ask Big A over in Whitestone and he will tell u exactly what he saw..he washed my car 4 me every 2 weeks.... the only thing I can recommend from Al is the purchase of tires...he seems to be decently priced there |

Anyone know a shop near or in Staten Island? Dont wanna drive to LI and be without a car for a whole day, and dont have any spare rims i can use meanwhile. All 4 of my rims have bad curb rash, so im thinking its gonna take a while to fix.
Alternatively, anyone have experience with those mobile wheel repair trucks? Any recommendations? |

3yr. unconditional & we don't look for the out on warranty work.
Yea we screw up but for 30 years we have been around when shit happens. We were in business 20yrs before we trained L.I. rim, before wheel america was in n.y. we were here. Wheel america is going out of business in n.y. & L.I. wheel is still just a one man operation. We have continually grown & improved our equipment & training. We are the only facility to be hunter exclusive with over $100k in tire installation equipment & extremely well trained in it's full use. Not even your BMW dealer carries all the tire equipment we have. As for cutting wheels straight, we never do so & would never tolerate it. The only true way to fix a rim is to straighten a rim, CUTTING IT ROUND SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!! Our standards are what we taught carl 10/1000th of an inch. |

I don't know what Mwarsh is talking about. "Just By The Way He Types" I can tell he is probably ignorant about a lot of things.

These guys are in queens. They repaired both my wheels while I waited there. It took 90 min's. And if you cant wait they will put on their wheels for you and you can pick up yours later. They do wheel refinishing and painting also. $75 per wheel and $100 for bent wheels.
http://www.kwicksilverusa.com/locations.html Use the queens county phone #. They are 1 mile off of the belt parkway |

If you live in the southern shore of long island, you can check out Wheel Fix it. I got my my front rim fixed for my 328i and don't think I spent too much.
You can also get a free estimate if you're not sure whether you should pull the trigger or not. You should always do some research. I heard some good things about Long island rim repair as well. http://www.wheelfixit.com/about.html |
