*HPFP Died* *Emergency* Need Code Clearer SoCal (San Diego)

I need a code clearer in SoCal (Preferably San Diego TODAY) My HPFP died and so the closer to home the better. Please PM me if you, or anyone you know has one.

I think what he is doing is hiding his true identity just in case ppl from BMW are on the boards? Hes a known member of this form, he messaged me from his actual IM after I called the OP a narc! haha

Tis true, you should do it, i dont think you will get hit with warranty issues or anything. People post under their real user names using JB and stuff

Damn I would help you out but I'm 3 hours north of SD.

Anybody else scared to drive their 335i far because of these HPFP failures? Some with 2 or 3 failures within 10-15k miles.

I mean they are like ticking time bombs with no timer, you'll never know when they will give out and leave you stranded. You'd think after paying $50k for a car you wouldn't have to be this paranoid.

Why can't BMW figure out a permanent fix? Maybe they should send the pump to Japan and have them figure out and build a reliable one.

Why are you going to clear your codes? They look for those codes in order to diagnose and prove to BMW why they are warrantying a fuel pump.

I'm thinking he just wants to read and make sure there are any "tuner codes" stored before taking it in.

If you clear all the codes and start your car up again, the HPFP one should pop again.

Yes, I know...but there are other more long term codes that are stored also. Frankly, it's obvious that the car has a bad fuel pump when it goes out, it's just weird to see him so worked up over codes.

The only thing i can say to the OP is buy a BT tool. It'll cost you 350 to have it overnighted, and it is a MUST have if you are or are not running tune.
