The guy is already at a low enough point that I don't feel it necessary to rag on him for stupid decisions. No matter how many bad choices he made I respect him for what he did by getting the pizza job to put food on the table and how he is doing his best to protect his kids.
That being said, I would never give up a financially secure job to go and start my own company.

Personally, I think this is a publicity stunt. A $7 an hour job probably only covers the cost of his utilities for the month. He clearly can get a better job (even in this economy). Stuff like this just doesn't happen. I can't imagine the guy not having at least some connections within the industry to get him started. |

Damn.
Just a sad fail. You either make a big hit or take a hit, that's how high rollers roll. But he obviously took a too much of a hit. I'm sure he will come back anytime soon and make better money than most of average people. |

I feel really sad for the guy. He's made financial mistakes and now he's paying the price, but props to him for doing whatever it takes to earn money for his family.

How can we sit here and judge why/what/how? What if he would want to teach but has a glitch on his record that prevents him from doing so? If he is doing this for publicity can you call him dumb? What if someone calls him and hooks him up? Who is the dumby then? |

Another attempt of the media trying to make everyone believe that the world is turning upside down.
It's a failed business. Nothing more. Rest assured that this guy has a plan to get out of bankruptcy smelling rather rosy. Last edited by ScotyH; 03-22-2009 at 12:04 PM.. Reason: sp |

I am not sad for this guy...he took a gamble and lost....big deal. Businesses fail all the time. Even in a good economy. Hopefully he will get his situation together soon and move on.

Sorry, but this story is COMPLETE BS. Ceo to pizza delivery? There are jobs out there..sure, he might only make 50,60,70k but with that type of experience he can find a job..any decent sales jobs, even in this economy, pay far more than $7 an hour

And that's why stories like this are actually run, because there are fools who will actually eat it up.

what I don't understand is that if you were making $750,000 /year. Shouldn't you have paid off the house by now ? and have no credit card bills.. have a stash of cash in the truck of my BMW? no ?
