Haha yeah for sure! As tempting as jersey city is for me (I wanted the all-out city life when I first started considering the offer), I think Morristown or New Brunswick are my best bets. That wednesday meet sounds good too. I'm prepared for the roads too bc ours really suck. I knew e90post would be a good site to ask for advice bc you people like to get out and party!

New Brunswick is probably your best bet. I lived in MoTown before, and while it's nice, its fuckin expensive. Plus NB is right down the street from Rutgers (College sluts) Plus i live out in the country (Hunterdon County) and I drive to MoTown almost every weekend.

you guys are crazy if you're telling him to live IN new brunswick and you're over the age of 22...there's a couple of decent bars and restaurants in downtown but the only decent living accomodations are WAAAY over-priced....NB (to live) FTL!

No. I was saying about the surrounding towns, like North Brunswick, Franklin, Highland Park, Edison, etc. The downtown area of New Brunswick is really nice though now, and they have built some new apt buildings that are really f'in nice. I wouldn't recommend New Brunswick for the same reasons though..

Another question, are you looking to buy or rent?

Morristown or Morris Township are your best bets. Are you moving alone or with family? If your single, I'd have to say Morristown. There are a bunch of new condos being built. A bunch of the younger New York Jets players all live in that area now too.

Where in Jersey do you drive? It's more like the opposite for me. PA drivers are always takin their sweet ass time in the right lane, and NY drivers don't understand the concept of a passing lane. As for Cali drivers, they can't even drive in the rain, I don't think they'd survive in Jersey.

haha I'm liking the consensus here. Ok new brunswick vs. morristown for a 23 yr old single guy with a job near Pluckemin. I want to live downtown and I can afford something under 1500/month. ding ding

Haha, maybe the roads I drive are well-patrolled by police
![]() ![]() OP: I used to rent a place in Morristown, around $1200. It came with a garage, and best of all the heating is free (!!!). Coming from CA, I cannot stand the average age of buildings here, nor their styles (colonial... and more colonial). I suspect that they lose a lot of heat in winter. When I was looking to buy, a realtor told me about upcoming "rejuvenation" projects around downtown Morristown, I don't remember when they start / end though... And Morristown BMW has a touchless car wash, I'm supposed to check with them whether I can use it for free, but I keep forgetting ![]() |
