New member here....
Just ordered this morning, 335i Coupe, TiAg, black leatherette/dark wood, stick, sport package... sweet & simple. Looking at late Feb delivery. I've been a MINI enthusiast for years, but this is my 1st Beemer! |

Oh Geez! Here we go again Bart! I've been talking to Heather about trading in Stella to get a 335i Coupe or Sedan. Also trying to decide if I want to wait for the 335ix.
I'm thinking: Monaco Blue w/ Gray leather Gray wood interior Premium Sport Cold Comfort Access Can't decide on: Sat/nav Auto/man My immenent transfer to Balt/DC area is making me think about the auto... More to come, we'll have to see if I need to order it or not. Doug |

Traffic/NOVA
My commute is West of Chantilly to Crystal City everyday so around 35 miles each way, i need to really think if i want MT or Auto. I have never owned a MT before so this should be interesting.
Luckly i car-pool, so i only drive 3 days one week and two the next. Baltimore/DC no way i would get MT how many miles is that each way"? No way i could handle 495 traffic everyday, Dulles Toll Road and Route 50 is bad enough. |

For me, it will be from Columbia to Ft. Meade. I mean, if I can handle the traffic in and out of Norfolk, I should be able to handle the MT. Stella's a "naughty" girl in that she's running about 55hp/30tq over stock. Ergo, the reason I'd have to go for a 335i.
The reason I'm really even thinking of trading is that my recent "trip" allowed me to do double payments for a bit; I want a trunk for my golf clubs when I go cross-country and room for more than me and one guest. |

Hey Doug!
Well for me, I'm keeping the MCSC, but just sold the Mustang GT. I did pretty well, actually, I had put down a big amount when I bought it, and got nearly all of that back. I'll be leasing the 335i though, I just don't keep cars long enough, and if that changes, I can always buy it after the lease. I'm getting Titanium Silver with a black interior, dark wood. I definitely want a stick shift, and the sport package was the only other thing that really appealed to me. I don't really need active cruise control, or Idrive, or even blue tooth- I rarely talk on the phone when driving. I'm looking forward to that 13 speaker surround sound, and the twin-turbo power too! It's due in Feb.... I'm glad I already knew Heather, I'm sure that helped me get a better deal

I've toyed with TiAg as well - and now I'm trying to remember why I wanted the Prem package. Sport, maninly for the wheels - although with the winters they get up north, I'm thinking I need snow wheels/tires. I love the look of the coupe, but I can get the sedan at the price point I want - I can't lease due to the miles I'll put on in a year. |

Wx, you aren't going THAT far north, not like Minnesota or Michigan-! DC may get a bit more snow tha HR, but it's really still in the realm of mild winters.
The sport package also gives you the good seats and a stiffer/lower suspension, but it would be well worth considering dropping premium and the autotrans and whatever else doesn't add that much (like compfort access, apparently you still can't remote start the car) IF it makes the difference between the sedan and the coupe.... those options are pricey, and I'd guess Heather would knock something off the MSRP even for the coupe because you are also a repeat customer.. The coupe really is the dog's bullocks, you know =) but they are both extraordinary cars. When are you thinking to lock it in?

When I get back in a couple of weeks - I've already sent her a sheet with the options, price I want for Stella and what I want to pay for the car. We started just before her cruise, so I'm in limbo until she returns.
I'm sure I'll have to drive them both, and play with the options. I'm really looking at holding this one a bit longer - so I'll want to get it right. |

I added Dakota leather (black) to my order and changed to brushed aluminum trim. I'm dealing with the manager now, which I think was very respectful of them, not sticking me with some foofy BMW sales manequin in loafers lol... But I realized that my current build date is the 4th week in Jan... which could easily put me into March for delivery. I do know they bumped it to priorty 1, but if they keep selling it won't get any closer.....

Well, with me moving at least I'm not tied to CF - I would have defaulted to them to work with her.
Now it will be either Passport (335i sedan with P/S/C/Nav) or Reliable in MO (my parents town - 335i coupe P/S/C/Act Str). Both have decent prices... just need to sell the MINI and see what they want for their cars. (I'd have to fly to MO to pick up if I go that way.) Doug |

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm heading up on Saturday to most likely close on the apartment I haven't seen (amazing what you can do now while underway).
I'm seeing a stop at a dealership or two between now and the new year ... |

I ended up with Passport and am quite happy.
This car has done nothing but impress me, and I don't miss the MINI a bit. Sacrelige to the folks that know me and my passion for fast, nimble cars; but the 335i is a MINI that "grew-up" so to say.... Hmmm... me thinks I need to do a review (yes, with pics) and post soon. Doug PS - I'm also set in the apartment in Columbia; now all I need is the Navy to get my stuff up there and go on vacation!

Yeah, but OMG, is it a blast... I can change gears while the dead pedal keeps me in the seat.
Blasphemous (sp?), but I really like this car better than the MINI....

So there will two 335i in Suffolk soon.....I have the e90. Arctic metallic, beige cream and dark burl. I wish I could smoke on 58, but....mostly stuck in traffic anyway. When do you get yours???? If you see the license plate "4My Ipod" that is me. I have not seen any other ones on the roads I drive daily. I know someone got a red one the day I picked mine up...but never seen another.

My two week gap is feb24 to march 9. So sometime inbetween there. So if you see a montego blue e92 that says "25TIL4" that would be me!

I am a soon to be new BMW owner in SoVA, Newport News to be exact. My E92 335 is on the boat and should be arriving in port on 5 Mar. Does anyone have any idea how long it will take for my car to ready for pick up?
