No, thanks to Mr. Awwnold.
If you show them that you got it fixed, you'll probably just get the 35 dollar fee and not the 500. Don't trip.

Are cars are ATM's to the state... Oh well I will keep you all posted on what happens in the next couple of weeks..

CA's gotta make those budget shortfalls somewhere. Its funny - the police being paid is tied to the budget....hmmm seems like a bad system. Get ready for full enforcement of everything nationwide.
A friend of mine got a ticket for doing 58 in a 55 the other day... |

I'm almost certain that if you do correct what you had been cited for all you have to pay is the sheriff's inspection fee and court fees. The bailout is there only if you do not wish to correct and get it signed off.
My bailout for a front plate and tint ticket was $300, stated in the letter received in the mail. I corrected it, and paid $65 total for the inspection and court fees. |

Thats Messed up, its unbelieveable how they do that to everyone
i got pulled over TWICE this last week once for no front license plate and another by campus police (i had no idea that they had the right to pull you over, i thought they just wear a costum all day long) for making an illegal left hand turn. Still havnt gotten the fines yet. Its such BS to fine a student on there way to class. this happend both times and i was 20min late both times missing a quiz on one of them. |

[QUOTE=Bluesummer;4857787]which school do you go to?[/QU
I go to OCC but im taking one class at IVC, i got my illegal left in front of IVC and my No front plate on harbor Blvd right by Adams St. where OCC is. its so anoying and a waste of money to give more $$$ back to the state when we pay such high taxes on our cars in the first place. |

I am assuming you knew the risks when you tinted your windows and installed your exhaust? Now your upset when you get a ticket for it? You willingly rolled the dice on that one and got burned. I dont like those laws myself, think they are stupid, but I cant just go around and bypass the law no matter how much I think its stupid. Now I just keep my car simple so I have no more problems, not worth the agony imho

**Update**
So I called the court today. According to their records the CHP marked my ticket as not correctable, so that is why I just got the fine... She gave me an appointment and told me to bring my corrections to the judege.. Hopefully he/she will reduse my fine..

so you can still appeal for reducing the fine upon correction although it was written as a uncorrectable ticket?

Well the lady told me that these violations are usually correctable.. She thinks the cop may have marked the ticket wrong.. Oh well I'll see what happens in August..
