i think alot of people might want just the turbos and run methanol.
this would be best bang for the buck imho.

some may go the whole way: approx $ 10,000 or more, but not that many i think.

However, people can and will use water-meth injection. In combination with ordinary (cheap)91-93 Octane it is better than race gas, is easy to get and per Shiv is easy to add. If you are willing to put forth the effort to "upgrade" the turbos, water-injection is a trivial next step. If race gas cost is a factor, water-meth injection is reasonably low cost. Straight water injection actually works well by itself and is cheaper yet. With water-meth injection, race gas offers few advantages and is really not necessary. I guess what I'm getting to here, is bigger turbos almost require race gas or water-meth injection; otherwise it is a waste (gate) of good boost. I am really looking forward to the water-meth results.

Water injection does mean that we will driving around in steam powered automobiles. Maybe we can get tax credits for our Shivly steamers.

Sounds very promising! Looking forward to details and charts. For the record I picked 480+ so we're counting on you to find 10hp more.

Very nice developments. I wonder how many people will take the modding that far? A little out of my league for now, but will be fun to watch the early adopters!

Niiiice I am excited to see the results, I will run stock tuned turbos until post factory warranty...Maybe pickup a thirdparty warranty so when the stockers blow, have the tech replace them with these ones...Probably will be cheaper than OEM turbos...Did this with my B5 S4

I concur with what your doing and probably will do the same when the time comes, but will not switch the stockers until they DIE and need to be replaced!

IMHO, i do not think 480 + whp is that difficult with the right setup.

my next question is: how is the 335 / 135 gonna hold up with all that power?

what is the weak link here? tranny ? block? ___ ???

i would feel more comfortable with 480 + whp if i could upgrade the tranny a bit.

my 2 cents

WOW, great numbers, the fact that full spool is at only 2500 rpms and maintained until 6500rpms is just insane. I cant wait to see a dyno graphy compaired to a stock run just to have a good laugh.

Keep up the great work.

I like the idea of safely making more WHP up top on crappy CA 91 octane and getting a nice spool down low.

5k is a bit steep, though.

cant wait to see SC e92 M3 vs e92 ASR 335i. M3 will win, but it will be a heck of a lot of fun.

This thread is full of fail, besides a turbo kit being tuned by a piggyback......

Who cares about race gas numbers, its all about pump numbers. Maybe the only reason he is listing race gas numbers is because pump numbers is a FAIL!!!

Hard to speculate based on that 470rwhp on race gas number. I'm guessing 430 on pump. Ideal for me would be upper 400s on pump, mid 500s on the good stuff, but we'll have to see what happens.

if they can do 470 on race gas the first day, this should be quite an interesting excercise.
