I love clear duct tape!

There's just so much use for it.

I use carbon fiber laced, clear duct tape as a condom. It's a little sticky, but works wonders.

lol is there anything tape can't fix.

Anyways, there are specialised companies (Carglass in belgium) that can fix any cracks not bigger than an inch in diameter (2 euro piece if you ever seen one ) without replacing anything. And it's fully covered by insurance if you have glassbreak thingy ofc

So basicly if it isn't too big, act fast, if it is... replace it ... with a full retrofit seethrough ducttape window. perfect fit, no error codes

You don't need to replace the windshield. Take it to a windshield specialist to have the crack treated so that it will not further crack your windshield anymore. I'm not sure why you thought super gluing the windshield would help in preventing further cracking.

Dude, get with the program! It's all about the clear duct tape!

Oh, BTW, I cleared the windshield code. I reinstalled a new clear duct tape, apparently the one I was using before was not the correct wattage. I'm currently using the 35w one, on my 06 build, and am error code free!

Post March 06 build doesn't have this problem. Glad you got it cleared up

Thanks J Bone. I wouldn't have known how to fix it, if it weren't for the great information I learned from this thread.

FS: Scotch Clear Duct Tape, for windshields. 3 yards long. I only used a couple strips, until I found it to throw error codes on my 06 build. Like new, asking 65 bucks, prefer local pick up, but will ship at buyers expense. The output wattage on this is 55w, which is perfect for E90's. PM me if interested.

Actually the problem with our 06 builds are the LED light up exhaust tips we put on, not the duct tape. The Duct Tape works just fine as long as you ground it properly. I bet you forgot to ground it. On a side note, two of the LEDs on my exhaust tip went out, are all of yours still working?

Dang! I wish I would have known about grounding the clear duct tape. I wouldn't have wasted 75 bucks getting a lower wattage one. MAD GAY!

And the LED lights I have on my exhaust are working fine. They are not actually wired to anything on my car. I purchased several LED keychain lights from Walgreens and just used CLEAR DUCT TAPE to put them on.

Again, Clear Duct Tape is my best friend... multi functional.

Did you use the high or low watt tape for the LEDs? I may try this if I can't get the couple I have to work properly.
