Nice. 13CW is really fun! BW is my favorite track so far.

Nice!! Satakal and I had a good amount of open track at the end of day, we managed 2:16-2:17 also in the same configuration.

Although compared to you guys I cheated big time to keep up with the M.

Great times! How did you cheat?

he was in an M. In order to get his lap times down into the 2:16s, he brought out the superior piece of hardware. That car is amazing.

More detailed version of the day comparing both cars. Regarding the M, out of the box the car was so close to perfect. Close to zero heat soak, best lap was last session, 2nd to last lap...

On the videos Satakal posted, I rode as a passenger chasing down a modded RS4.

those are not bad at all for beginner times - and are right in the range where you really start learning the track. At this point, going faster will come naturally with some more experience. I really need to get back there soon and see if I can improve on my times, especially now that I have -3 degrees camber up front. Maybe I'll set it up to -3.5

Good stuff. I'm fairly experienced and ran 2:19 the first time in the 335i with a lot of lifts for point bys. For comparison, I run 2:10 - 2:11 consistently in the M on config 13. What did you think about the brakes?

Nice videos. +1 on pulling off and going back on. Sometimes it's not worth trying to force a pass.
Seriousy, what's the point of having a rearview mirror?
How long were the sessions? How many cars? Did the car go into limp mode? LOL j/k
Config. 13 going CW is the shit. I just haven't tried with a car. Are the tires toast after a full day or two?

The brakes held up fine, plenty of areas to cool them down. We weren't going all out either. As far as limp modes don't think Satakal had any. The temp on my car didn't budge past 220-230.

I think I do have some melted pad material on my rotors though...

I've never triggered a limp ontrack. I was taking it easy. Short-shifting like crazy. Temp was like 2 ticks past the middle, which is very normal. Also, I don't think I felt any fade on Saturday, but when I push, I find fade. And, when I do, its never a big deal. I think I need to learn to drive then the occurance of fade will be less and less.

Great videos. It's always amazing when you go to a track day run by like one dude & volunteer instructors. I did one like that at Laguna run by the photographer. They actually made you pay $25 each run group to have an instructor. Then add in mixed experience & HP. Trouble & very dangerous. Self evaluation & policing is retarded. That guy in the 335 was about as bad as I've seen in the "experienced" group. Good job keeping your distance. Although, if that green beemer is the guy I think it is "new HPDE4 driver" he pushes harder than he should.
