After checking my can again, it's still leaking. This time from the elbows that are threaded into the can. I sent a PM in hopes for a replacement, if not I may have to look at another can, but I'll be keeping the hose kit.
I ended up taking the white connectors off and cleaning everything with brake clean. Once everything was dry, I applied high temp silicone to the threads, connected and let dry. To be on the safe side, I also applied epoxy around the edge.

I noticed you put your OCC up for sale briefly (?), did you end up using the same one or getting a new one?

I'll be doing that this afternoon since my car is already apart. Their N54 kit is great it just needs some leak prevention. Now their Can is another story...

I'm thinking this can will be a good replacement, but I need to see how their mounting system is attached to the can.

Humtek, check the attachments in the back fo the engine though.
Mine was leaking so most of the oil was on the undertray (under the engine) and not in the can.
I added clamps to every part and then found that it was leaking from the white connectors.
I used high temp silicone and epoxy after cleaning everything up.
I might have this issue as well. I'll take off the cowl this weekend and see.

Well I got around to fixing my OCC lines this evening. As mentioned before everyone needs to check their lines every so often to make sure their not leaking. A little RTV and some clamps and I should have eliminated future leaking, but I'll check on it later.

I also solved my leak on the can as well near the elbows. The problem isn't the o-rings that are installed, but how RR drilled the holes in the can. You'll see from the pic I took that the holes are drilled & threaded a little bigger then the fittings and are actually a little oblong. You can really tell this on the drain plug as it is very loose when threaded in. I applied some RTV to all the fittings and I hope it creates a nice seal until I can find a better can that doesn't leak all over. I still haven't heard from Riss Racing.

Thanks for all of the info. Which RTV product did you use exactly? I just got the RR can delivered 2 days ago, and will beef it up before the install. Hopefully RR will take the customer feedback and adjust their product, and direct exisiting customers with steps to make the can more "bomb" proof.

I used the High Temp Silicone like Mr. 5 had suggested.

SUBSCRIBED.

On a side note anyone ever notice how the singing of praises ceases about this product in critiquing threads or RR only pops continuously in threads praising their CC? But, in threads concerning problems they pop up once to say it is late, but they will post tomorrow w/ an explanation and the cheering section disappears, then never responds again.

I really wanted this product, but after reading about all the issues, I'll search for a better solution.
And yes I know they are a well respected sponsor. If you can constantly pop up on Former Boosted's thread when the praise is heaped on, then why not monitor the threads and chime in w/ support to your cx or prospective cx.

Just my .02

Yes, I got that same feeling, but I am hoping they are working on an upgrade to the product and a DIY for existing customers to make the RR can not prone to leaks.

BTW Riss Racing contacted me and I should have a replacement can on the way. I'll take a look at it and if my bomb proof can is still up to snuff I might send the unused one back. I still want to look at the Mckinney can as a better filtered can could be of good use.

i've got about 500 miles, and not leaks to be seen, so far.

guess i'll pop the cow of and look back there, but most of the leaks seem to be from the can itself.

anyone have leaks at the charge pipe area? i saw there is oil on the inside (LIKE IT SHOULD BE), but anyone w/ leaks there ?

That's good. Do they plan to make any statement at all about the leaking of the cans for multiple customers? They are pomoting the sale of the can like crazy, but no comment on if they plan to update the product based on the feedback: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=255871

I'm really beginning to question myself on quality of these RR cans. I had leaks on the drain plugs even when it was on tight.

Nope. They just mentioned they would send me out a new one.

You can't tighten the drain plug too tight. If you do the o-ring will move all over the place not creating a good seal. Tighten yours until you see the o-ring seat nicely then give it a tad more. If it still leaks put a little bit of RTV on the threads.
