ok this shit's been really confusing. she's saying that what she heard was that i personally spilled my shit on her laptop, but we're both sorta in agreement that we're probably hearing what we want to hear from our friends.

i said i'd pay half, but i don't think that's going to be the final case. hate dealing with this shit.

don't pay shit until/if she takes you to court, which i doubt she will. i can understand you not wanting to be an asshole, but this is your money and you shouldn't let a single person take it like that. laptops can be repaired, also. even if she does take all the extra steps to take you to court, the worst that can happen is you'll have to pay that money in the end. based on the fact that you're debating whether or not to pay her, she doesn't seem that close to you. accidents happen.
