According to my BMW Assist:
Someone was "allegedly" driving my car at 112 km/hr along Riverside and Hunt Club on August 12, 2009 between 9:36 PM to 10:15 PM. |

Air pressure difference?
I think it's air pressure difference between the inside and the outside of the car. Once I turn off air recirculation I don't have any issues with the air leak. I've hit the limiter (autobahn) and still no leak, but as soon as I turn on the A/C or recirculate air, the leak pops up again. Anybody else want to confirm?

I have an E93 and i have recently submitted my car to the dealership.
I made attempts previously to have the dealership fix it and they just shrugged it off as it was a normal by product of the hard top. so recently i used special paint tape to tape around the outside of the window seals and such. Using trial and error, by pealing one section off at a time i was able to locate the source of the wind noise. So i brought my findings to the dealer, and they had no choice but to fix it seeing that i did most of the work for them. They ordered a seal for the back window. I am picking up the car soon, so we'll see if the wind noise is gone. Personally, i think wind noise due to defective seals should be replaced. what a fine automobile we drive to suffer from such stupidity like wind noise. |

I never had a problem until I went over a large expansion joint on the HWY. It sounded like my door popped open, and now there is wind noise all the time on the driver's side. It is VERY ANNOYING!! Maybe the seal could be replaced.

regarding the E92: I had a similar issue, and on the driver side it was worse than on the passenger side. So I asked the dealer to adjust the driver side window. The can adjust the force with which the window is pressed up when the door is closed I believe, so they can tighten the fit. (only the a certain extend of course) I have to test it on the Autobahn though, as I had especially issues in the 110mph+ area.

I told them i hear wind noise after 120 km/h. which was a lie. I actually heard it at around 140 but thats my little secret. |
