Thanks...

I've personally fixed about 20 E90s for this problem. Roadside assistance won't be able to help as you have blocked the only non-destructive way to get into the car.

Doesn't the rear seat fold down? It'll be odd, but can't you just crawl in thru your trunk if something happens to the door lock?

Ok for the question of "what happens when your key dies or the actuator stops working? The replacement unit has the lock cylinder hidden behind the plastic panel so if you are the one in a thousand that has an issue with your key, you can break the cover on the lock cylinder with a screwdriver and underneath will be your key hole.. insert key and do your thing...

also it does work with the lighting package...

Ohh also i would be more worried about the fuses then the individual actuators.. I can see how a fuse wouldnt let you in your car.. but all 4 or 2 actuators going at the same time... then even better if all the actuators go or the fuse blows but your key works as long as your power windows are not on the same fuse, hold down the unlock button on your key and the windows should roll down.

I've had to crawl in from the trunk in my E46 when my key's battery died. A little embarrassing if people are around. Luckily no one was.
