^^also i find it hard to believe yours came out "perfect"

you are telling me that the tint is adhering 100% to the dot matrix...even though there is no glass for it to stick to?
he used a glue over the dot matrix before applying the tint.

+1. Thats exactly how it should be done.

One thing about HO is that it takes a damn long time to dry. I would give it a at least a month before complaining. I had it done almost a month ago and I still have some small water bubbles. They are slowly disappearing with the days though.

Anybody have their sedan tinted? I know some cars have problems with the second set of seals scratching their tints and I for the life of me cant remember if the sedans have this problem. Tom didnt say anything about needing them removed or felted. Now I'm a bit worried because I see a small scratch on my passenger rear and dont know where it came from.

of the two cars i have had tinted...my first was done somewhere else for alot cheaper and although it came out just as well the actual paper quality is much better with Tom. I would deff reccommend him.

also, if you think ceramic tints and the regular tints look the same, well you are just wrong, in real life they are noticeably different (albeit SLIGHTLY different) - the HO tint has more of a reflective "metallic" appearance.

the pics do it no justice. the tints look green for some reason in those pics...must be the lighting.
so people are paying twice as much for a reflective "metallic" appearance? thats a bummer

we use johnson window tints on benz and bentley's and havent had anyone complain

+1 i would never spend more than $200 for tints. Lee Berbs uses Madico and it looks great.

we charge $150-$200 depending on the car..but anything over that is just throwing away money for a "mirror" or "metallic" look

I tinted my windows for heat reduction when I move out west. In that respect, HO is the best without a doubt.

+1 I had HO on my 2007 Camry, the look is like no other!!!

The heat reduction was always superb and as a result the AC didnt have to work extra hard to keep up with the heat the sun was beaming onto the car during the summers... Trust me... if my 08 335 wasnt a lease I would of been all over Huper Optik. But since I am thinking of converting the lease to a buy it is coming back on my list... my first hit is going to be some coils though...

Coils > Huper (all the way)

Did I mention HO made the car ridiculously sexy!!!! HO always stands out from the crowd.

Also, the tint looks slightly green in the pics because the factory tint on the windows is slightly green and it is reflecting back to you. Every pic i took of my Cam came out exactly the same.

my tint from Tom is far from perfect as well. The side windows have accumulated white fluid that has now dried, there are some bubbles, and NONE of the rear windshield dot matrix is sticking. i am having him take a look at it this weekend, but he also never mentioned anything about using glue. what happens if you need to replace the tint????

i've also heard of sanding down the dot matrix, but i can't imagine that to be good for your car either?

i'd take it back to him if you are unhappy dude...let him know your concerns.

my dot matrix from Tom is not perfect but it is acceptable IMO...not sure it could get any better no matter who I go to.

well - i brought my car back to Tom and he basically pressed down on the dots (pretty warm day) so they stuck pretty well. not sure if it will stay that way.

i do get some glare on the defroster lines with the tint. does anyone else know this? also hard as heck to see at night with the auto dimming mirrors + tint.

i have a few small bubbles here and there as well. anyone else get that from Tom? pretty annoying considering i had no bubbles on my last car with a $150 tint job and far more windows.

he had to redo the driver's side window since some of the fluid underneath the tint dried in some white gunk.

Tom - the are of tint

I just got my 135i tinted by Tom and one of his assistants, 20% Ceramic Llumar. The job was done immaculately, in less than an hour. He met me where I park my vehicle, his usual price by $50 because he did not have to rent a spot where he does some of his work downtown. I simply met up w/ him at the garage, moved the car to under the light, and they went straight to work all the while maintaining a full conversation... this guy has been doing this for decades, and was one of the first if not the first to do a one piece back window in NYC. Price is right for immaculate results. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a good tint job.

I see you have the premium package on your car correct ? I also have that package and for some reason the guy that tinted my Windows pulled out a felt strip from both rear windows on my car and cut them lenth wise , said something about only the premium package cars had this and it needed to be trimmed and reinstated

I almost went to Tom but it seemed like he was difficult to get in touch with. I found Jack Taravella and I've been very happy with his work. Honest guy who won't bullshit you, pricing is based simply on the quality of the tint film you want. You can get ceramic tint, but in this area its overkill.

www.jttint.com, already taken 3 cars there, all of them came out flawless.

Was Jack able to tint behind the 3rd brake light? What's his rate? You can PM me if you'd like instead of posting here. Thanks!
