On 91 like I was on, he'd of gotten away with Map 7 as the highest. I'd say he would of gotten around 365 rwhp with it. (for comparison without any of the bolt ons my car ran 340 rwhp today on Map 6 on 91 Octane) So I'm sure he'd of gotten 20-25 rwhp from the intake, DP's, and 2nd cat delete). On 93 on Map 7 probably 370 rwhp. He might of gotten away with Map 8 (lower boost race map) on 93 with his mods too, but probably with a bit of knock retard. On 100 Octane on Map 8 he got around 385-390 rwhp |

glad you got it figured out. if you get around to it it would be great to see you redyno w the procede and their newest maps now that you have the new plugs.

was this on the same dyno that you did the procede on? if so, damn, what a difference a properly running car can do with the change of plugs. right on- glad you're happy again with the car!

Yeah, right now I'm letting a buddy of mind use the PROcede, but I wouldn't mind seeing how they stack up. More than likely very similar horsepower and torque readings, but I'd like to see where in the power band it makes the power and how soon it drops off. I'm going to be ordering a set of Forge DV's to help out holding boost as in one of the runs i had a questionable diverter valve lift off. Hopefully this helps smooth out the graph some. |

It wasn't the same dyno as my procede run...but last week i dyno'd on that dyno with the JB3 and got pretty bad results (due to my plugs) so it's tough to say.

On this same dyno long time ago Terry (with me present) did a before and after dyno on his stock exhaust 335i (when he was on JB2HR) and the second cat delete only seemed to account for 3-4 rwhp.
At that point in the exhaust, and with the following bends of the stock exhaust, opening up the 2nd cats do very little. |

WOW, dynos like these are making me go towards getting the Juice vs procede, I wonder what kind of numbers would I put with IC, catless all the way back, intake, Bov and 100oct?

Similar to mine or more I'd be willing to bet. These numbers seem to be typical of both tunes with these set of additional mods.

then your 335 will be watching the e30's tailights fade into the distance.

this explains to me why I was having troubles w traction the last time I was at the drag strip in my 335. full bolt ons / catless, straight 104 octane, 17psi special sauce map and 30 degree weather. huge power...no grip. leaving 2 black lines at 80mph is no way to cut a fast et, but damn it was FUN. I'm actually really curious as to the power I was making that day given the DA was close to -1500ft, wouldnt be surprised if it was in the 420-440whp range but who knows.

you can dyno 1000whp if you want and only trap 105mph......what does that get you? also, that was a low reading dyno yes, but the OP is running much better fuel....that makes a big difference

My e30 is sitting at the shop sans motor. Let the fun begin! and yes..there will be boost! (right after I reinforce the subframe, widen the fenders, 5 lug conversion and ridiculous offset wheels) |

well i don't plan on ever running it on the dragstrip.. just odd to only put down so little with similar mods.. i ran my buddy's e92 m3 this weekend with dinan software and a full exhaust and pulled a car length on him with us both starting at the top of 2nd.. so i guess the power is there.. big numbers like that would be nice though!

High octane is the difference between running map 6 and map 9 with your mods. Throw in a full tank of 100 octane, switch to map 9 (on JB3 1.3) and you'll definitely be around 380-390whp. Granted, your plugs are fresh like mine are now! lol Make sure to log boost. |

400whp+ in a 2700-2800lb car will be a rocketship. Donovan is putting down 545whp in his e30 but trapping 140mph!! His car weights in somewhere between 2300-2500lbs though....its scary as hell. Quote:
everyone needs to do that.....very few do. I would love to see boost logs on all the dyno graphs on this forum.
