Before I had the spec.dock I had the Blackberry Stereo Gateway plugged into my aux port. It pairs automatically once you get into the car and you can play music wireless. It also doesn't compromise any audio and sounds as if I was plugged into the aux port.

+1 BB Stereo Gateway is the way to go. If you have bluetooth in the car, the music fades away to a ring, you can pick it up or ignore it through the car, then after your done the music fades back in. I have completely wireless iPhone 3GS integration in my car. The only time I need to plug it into anything is when I need to charge it. I'm thinking about integrating a power mat so I can wirelessly charge it. The case is really bulky though.
