If the new R20 follows the improvement made by the A3 2.0TFSI fwd to the S3 and in my opinion the Golf is a far superior handling car than the A3 then I can only imagine that the R20 will be something pretty special indeed. But then it will have to be to command the estimated £27~28K VW are believed to be looking for it. Frankly I think the magazine (CAR) have their figures wrong because that the same kind of money that Audi look for their S3 Sportback with DSG, I'm expecting the actual figure to be closer to £25K. |

5-door w/ DSG please......I would seriously consider leasing that for a couple of years to try something other than a BMW. Rear led's are sweet. Interior is sweet. What isn't to like???

This could be the first Golf to break into the low 5 high 4 second bracket. Pretty sweet looking. Can't wait to see what mods are available for the engine and the AWD system (.i.e Haldex control unit).

One thing I believe (though don't hold me to this) it will be offering is front and rear e-LSD which should make it very neutral and stable. I'm reckoning that it's handling should be slightly less entertaining than the GTI but with higher levels of grip and drive out of the corner. When/if it gets tested at the topgear track I wouldn't be at all surprise to see it post a 1:27?? lap time. |

My Jetta wasn't any better or worse than the 335. Infact I would say it was better. My buddy has an 07 A3 2.0T and it has had less problems than my car. It was true in the past, not anymore

Edit- How is Audi/VW servicing? Because I've had, hands-down, the worst experiences dealing with BMW.

My next car for sure... especially if I can get this in manual this time. If this is lighter than the outgoing R32, paired with that k04 turbo we are talking 350hp with just a chip and awesome 0-60's. I am literally placing my deposit today.
